I am in the process of putting my dipole back up after it was blown down in a storm. I haven't been able to listen to any of the bands. I am wondering if there are any interesting nets or foreign broadcasts out there that are worth listing to.

Good luck to everyone. 73.

Yes and nothing.

My antenna is down too. Haven’t powered up my rig in years.

Where would I go band or frequency wise to find others on alert for the end of the world ?!

Most of the meat aisles are cleaned out but some stores still have some hams put back for the regulars.

Not yet. Just started studying for my technicians license. Probably going to start off simple with a handheld unit.

I thought there was a run on hams now as well as toilet paper.

I am. Cell phone pretty much made it obsolete for me. I do listen on EchoLink now and then.
Oddly, my twenty-year-old daughter got the bug and got her ticket a year or so ago.

Licensed, but haven’t really used it. Another hobby I don’t have time to get sucked into. Mostly a “back pocket” kinda tool available for when things really go pear-shaped.

I’m not a ham but I used to listen to some folks on 3865 kilohertz, upper side band, on my Sony SW7600GR several years ago.

Some one used to keep a ham ping list. Can’t remember who. Maybe search will find it.

Yes. Some Virginia ham for my lunch. Oh, you mean Ham radio operators. Never mind.

I’m a licensed General Class HAM. My Astron 50amp power supply needs a new power switch, ordered it a few mins ago. Prior to it going bad there really hasn’t been much to listen to, the bands have been pretty dead here (Chicago area.)

General class here, but mostly on vhf, haven’t been on hf in a few years. I have been thinking about changing that situation.

Just bought a half a ham the other day. Tastes GREAT, but it had the most fat/waste of any ham I ever bought. /s
