Nic Talbott keeps himself busy, working as a substitute teacher, studying for a masters degree, helping with chores at his grandmothers farm. He also finds time, almost daily, for rigorous workouts to ensure he is in shape in case his dream job, serving in the U.S. military, becomes available.
For now, that door is closed to him by the Trump administration for one reason: Hes transgender.
Talbott, 26, was elated in 2016 when the Pentagon with a green light from then-President Barack Obama announced that transgender people already serving in the military would be allowed to do so openly. President Donald Trump, six months after replacing Obama, announced with a tweet in July 2017 that he would reverse that policy and bar transgender individuals from serving in any capacity in the military.
Four lawsuits were filed in federal courts challenging Trumps policy, including one in which Talbott is a plaintiff. The suits are pending, but the Supreme Court last year ruled that the ban could go into effect while the litigation continued. The ban was formally implemented on April 12, 2019.
Some transgender people who hoped to enlist have moved on to other pursuits, but Talbott refuses to give up on a career aspiration that dates to his childhood. [ ]
Before the ban, Talbott was participating in an Army ROTC program. He says hed be open to serving in either the Army or the Air Force, ideally as a military police officer or in a military intelligence unit.

Okay, I really, really want to be a fighter pilot. The fact that I am fantastically unqualified should NOT be held against me. I mean, being fantastically unqualified should mean there should be a special government program that lets me become a fighter pilot. Right? Otherwise, racist...or something.
And Jazz’s Wikipedia entry hints at at least one “surgical setback.” What a mess.
Penis envy is a terrible thing.
We will soon have a surplus of military men coming home from foreign posts. We do not need this misfits services.
What else is it yearning for?
Not everyone can have the occupation of their dreams. But many people successfully work in fields they never thought they'd be interested in, and find great satisfaction and fulfillment in them.
These fake-men gals always follow the same pattern;
Hormone induced wispy beard
Gimme ball cap
Flannel shirt
Biker chain wallet
And yet they still appear as what they are: its a trannie!
That is the legacy of obummer, the first fag president.
Some people have physical or mental conditions that make them a poor fit for military service. Just a fact of life.
“Transgender man” = mentally ill woman
When we signed our contract to join,so many questions were asked and there was a scrutiny. WTF is it now?
😁 Check out my tagline. 👍 Even the USAF has gotten crazy, over the corona virus thing. Pilot training has been temporarily suspended. 👎
This person really does not want to serve in the military, as a salute to “Duty, Honor and Country”, but to be part of a sociological experiment and as a means of confrontation with established custom and discipline.
The purpose of the military service is to break things and kill people, not to serve as some kind of laboratory for every screwball notion that comes up in academia.
Mental illness has always been a dis-qualifier for service. Problem is, liberals deny this particular mental illness is mental illness, because it fits into sexual activism, arguing that there’s no difference between men and women as if that’s proven by changing gender by changing your mind and behavior.
This article, like other hit pieces is misleading. Trump didn’t set up the ban on transgenders and the military. That was done by Kennedy. From 1960 to June 30, 2016, there was a blanket ban on all transgender people from serving and enlisting in the United States military.
The changing of the theory of military service related to an open gender policy has done a variety of damage and has created a mistrust among the troops of confidence in their fellow troops. And the creation of all gender bathrooms away from downrange also has created a noticeable difference in the troops that creates a wedge in trust.
Tack that on to the military doing gender surgery, psychological services, and other medical and logistical services at taxpayer expense due to this, it doesn’t signify a union of the lifestyle, but a step backwards in its efforts to con the public into thinking so. So it’s actually worse than it was.
And the redistribution of the need because of the noted physical capacity of women trying to do men’s jobs with their different body physiologies and strengths, puts even further strain on getting qualified people to do the job for the mission.
Unless they are using enhancement drugs, which are illegal in the military, the women as a whole can’t compete. The job requires upper body muscular needs that women don’t have. And if they are able to compete in any real numbers, then there is a problem with the male efforts.
The job of war in the direct combat theater was never designed for women. Few can get the job done. I applaud those that can, but surgically removing body parts doesn’t change the physiology. I trained troops for 32 years, and there is a problem to get qualified people. Wattering the standards down to please a political correct atmosphere is going to get people killed. So whether it’s a man or a woman, they need to be able to do the job so it doesn’t endanger their counterparts around them. And that’s the bottom line that worries many.

Anyone see irony in the title? Yearns to join the military.
Not the other way around.

Men who "change gender" and enter women's professional athletic events tend to dominate. However, there is not a single case of a woman "changing gender" to a man and successfully competing in male sports at any kind of a high level. And if I am wrong, please feel free to point it out to me.
Good post. I might ad that they destroy the careers of those around them.
which was, in part, the reasoning behind Bathhouse Barry’s decision to lift the ban
The Left has wanted to destroy our military since the 60’s
Pete Buttigieg was also in a military intelligence unit.
