The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s cryptogram. If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

It took about a minute. Somehow I was able to recognize the author fairly soon.

2 min. 2nd and 3rd word, 8th word, keep plugging.
I pecked away at the obvious and the word WBECQRUYBEDBHWBECQRUYBEDBH came to me.

‘guessed’ right on #2&3 and took some toying but eventually it all filled in.
I guess I have the ‘correct’ answer, at least ALL the blanks are filled in.....<: <: <:

Well... that’s deep! LOL... I got the ABCA word first, and then a few other small words, and then recognized the name.
ABCA....until hung up too long on the 4th word. Still pretty quick, though.
Yeah, had to get most all the rest before that 4th word became obvious.
About two minutes today. The one just was not hurtful to figure out once you crack a few words.
