Trump's Response Today
Vanity | 3/13 | Week71

Posted on 03/13/2020 4:06:24 PM PDT by week 71

The most interesting observation I made with the President's announcement today was the legion of private sector business leaders he had there to discuss their ideas and cooperation to overcome this disease.

Seems historically politicians have 'so & so ' from the department of this or that representing government aid. I am of the persuasion using the private sector will greatly decrease the danger of this scourge.

It’s driving lefty crazy that he had them there. I think that also helped the market today.

I thought that was a strong showing by Trump today. Impressive demonstration of leadership and ability to bring the best minds to bear in order to solve this issue.

Very good day for the administration and the US.

It was brilliant! Very proud of POTUS and all that has been done (much of it quietly.)

He understands business people, and he has many, many reasons not to trust government bureaucrats’ advice.

I love it!

I agree..most politicians would haul out a bunch more politicians and would screw it up. Trump pulls out experts and proven business leaders. It's very refreshing.

Today’s conference was a home run. It added another 1,000 to the stock market rise. CNBC ignored that part of it.

I totally agree. Just think what we, as a country, could accomplish if the government would get out their way.

We would still be living in the 19th century if the government of today was in power then.
The Transcontinental Railroad would still be tied up in environmental regulation because a species of giant, rabid vampire bat would be impacted.

The market gained 2000 points today....unleashing the private sector and cutting red tape where the exact right things to do....democrats are not pleased.

I think the combination of the private sector along with the key medical players explanations were the key. Also Trump was much better than Wednesday and Pence backed him up great.

Trump did a much better job today, then he did a couple of days ago.

I thought Dr Fauci was outstanding. He was among 40 others who are among the Trump Team to combat the COVID-19 menace. What we learn in the process will be a system to manage contagions in the future. We will have good results and the world will benefit.

It’s further proof that this POTUS can operate on SOOO many more levels than which the ‘normal’ politicians can.

Drives them CRAZY, and I love it.

PS: Mike Pence is getting one helluva education by standing at the right elbow of the President.

This is how the they should handle any disaster- enlisting private and experts. This model could be used for a health emergency or a terrorist attack or any other sudden eruption. Trump sees the way to help the people.

He actually outlined this a couple of days ago, because it was obviously still under discussion with the parties involved. So he didn’t have a done deal to announce at that time.

I think it is a great plan, enlists what the US does best - commerce and invention - and gets the government back where it belongs, which is coordinating efforts, calling upon our best private talent and clearing the path for them.

Everyone in this country knows where their closest WalMart, CVS, Target or Walgreen is. Setting up drive through testing in their parking lots is genius.
