It matters only that some people are citing Chinese numbers that are almost certainly bogus and ignoring numbers from more responsible, open societies that are better indicators of what we are dealing with.
I’m 53 and relatively healthy, so I’m not worried.

I have been using baby wipes and then hand sanitizer and don’t worry about the gloves. Although I do wipe down the steering wheel, shifter, etc. with clorox wipes. But seeing as you are sensitive to that....
I did buy a bunch of cheap cotton gloves. Can be tossed in the sink and washed over and over again. Maybe wear the cotton gloves out and about. Come home, put on a pair of reusable rubber gloves (dish washing gloves, industrial type rubber gloves, etc.) to wipe down the inside of the car with.

Two weeks ago my brother was at a store and they brought out a case of rubbing alcohol discovered in the back. He grabbed a couple of bottles as he was there with a few people waiting for it.
He said the guy then wheeled it out to the front of the store. All the people swarmed it - he said it looked like feeding guppies!
Doc was right. the faster out of a hospital the better. There’s sick people in there !! ;) Glad to hear your dad got great care.

Channel 4 News: Now we’ve been speaking exclusively to a British company which says it has developed a rapid testing kit.
The company says results can be obtained in around 10 minutes. NHS testing takes much longer. They’re shipping the kits to pharmacies in the UK next week and hope to eventually distribute them to the wider public.

I think it is 180 degrees at 5 or 10 minutes. I put my mail in the toaster oven at 200 for 10 minutes and I know that is above the recommend limit for food. (So figured it will work on mail too! Paper burns at 400 degrees. I saw some post that the 1918 flu - the biggest carrier was the mail! Not sure I buy that thought.)
Found the following regarding the H1N1 virus. There may be specific studies for Covid-19, but early on I just figured most viruses like this are going to be fairly similar in some regards. It has to do with their envelope rather than the actual virus.
They say 70 C which is 158 F.

Update: The number of active cases of the novel coronavirus has grown to 9 in Orange County, up from four confirmed cases earlier in the week, officials from the Orange County Board of Supervisors said at a news conference on March 13.
I found another link specific to Covid-19. They said the same thing - normal cooking temperatures will destroy it.
They also say to wash clothing and towels at 140 degrees. But everything that I have read says that the washer and drier temperatures are too low to destroy it. BUT - the washing with detergent does break down the protective envelope to destroy the virus.
Just putting clothing into the drier MIGHT heat it up and dry it out (the envelope needs moisture), but I’m not sure I would depend on just that.
We went out and worshipped under the quiet stars tonight.
