After watching governors jump on the state of emergency train today, they have been briefed on something bad, bad, bad, super bad coming down the road.
= = = = = = = = = = =

OR

Since the PURSE STRINGS have been opened they are just jumping on board.

IF it is ever ‘ordered’ that a bounty for each case diagnosed be granted, the numbers will be astronomical.

GD shame, like the kid that called wolf, if this peters out and the ‘next one’ comes along that is REALLY REAL it will be ignored.

FOLLOW THE MONEY

That is.

I bought some chicken today that I am going to cut up into chunks and pressure can, and I guarantee, it is NOT going to be that disgusting.

Not that salty and no bones to spit out.

The elderly neighbor lady helped us out a TON when our children were little, and we became good friends. Now they can use some help.

They have plenty of food I think. Enough for a few weeks. Although she does like her fresh vegetables and fruits which we can pick up and drop off - as long as they have them in the stores. Hopefully this mad rush of people at the stores calms down.

I’m guessing my wife will be bring over some meals while they are under quarantine. Although in my thinking, it is as much to keep possibly sick people away from them, as to keep them (possible virus contact) away from others.

I got 15 yard birds in the yard. Lots of eggs and some for eating.

More clarity on this issue would be a good idea.

It was Vienna sausages in Italy. My FIL loved Vienna sausages. He was in Africa and Italy. His brothers and my Dad were in the Far East. They got spam.

It tainted their tastes for the next 60 years.

Yep. One guy started to argue with me yesterday and I just said “Yep - you must be right”. He didn’t know what to do. At this point I am just walking away from the Lot’s wife crew....

“More clarity” would be achieved by focusing on who we want to be required to be tested.

That would make a lot of things about testing clear.
Our goal is to beat the toll of the virus.
Not to make everyone happy.

Yeah, Erick Erickson (I know!) said today that he was privy to a briefing to state officials yesterday that predicted something like a million deaths.

But he said that those numbers were from health care folks trying to scare state officials.

Who effin’ knows!

Did Winnie the Pooh tell the CCP to change their tune?

The first COVID-19 case originated on November 17, according to Chinese officials searching for ‘Patient Zero’

The data reviewed by the Post, which has not been made public, suggest that the virus was first contracted by a 55-year-old man from the province of Hubei, China. But as SCMP noted, the evidence is not conclusive.

(they gotta go back further - or find a link between this 55yo and the 24yo Brit in Wuhan)

Yup. When we first learned there was a dangerous virus, the next day our county had one of the first two FL cases. We didn’t have to wait and wonder. I said, “Looks like we need to start the storm prep a couple of months early this year.” Then we took inventory of stock needs and went shopping. Just another year in paradise.

Beer Math:

330M Americans.
30% of population sick = 110M
20% of sick serious = 22M

~1M hospital beds in the US
90% occupied = 100K available

22M > 100K

That’s before healthcare staff gets sick. does not account for respirator #s.

Italy battlefield triaging anyone over 60 as YOYO.
