Teachers Union recommends closing all public schools in California.

It’s likely imminent, before the weekend is over.

If Trump had told that reporter who asked if he was ‘selfish’ not getting tested, that he had been tested a week ago, or two weeks ago, he would have been called ‘selfish’ for not testing every reporter or every senior or every parakeet first.

Reminds me of my disillusionment when I tasted supermarket “black raspberry” ice cream. We used to go to a dairy farm to get our ice cream when I was a kid. It was our Sunday drive. The cows were out in the back and you could smell them. Black raspberry was my favorite.

I think it was called Knoll’s Farm or something like that. Out near or in Clifton, NJ.

Just back from Aldi & Publix here in Jax. TP, paper towels and some fresh veggies sold out. Everything else including bottled water and staples were either fully stocked or low stock. Guy in front of me in line was buying clorox wipes. Limit was two on those but Publix still had them tonight. I think stores will run out of some things this weekend but next week will be back to near normal.

China has lied about their numbers since the beginning.

Wonderful. Throw all the numbers out from China and Iran, then.

An apples-to-apples comparison is South Korea where the death rate in confirmed cases in 0.7.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Coronavirus outbreak: B.C. health officials confirm 11 new cases of COVID-19

Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, said Friday that she will seek to make a ban on gatherings of more than 250 people mandatory in British Columbia.

The province confirmed 11 new cases of the novel coronavirus Friday, bringing the total of confirmed cases to 64.

Henry said issuing an official order banning mass gatherings would allow organizers to recoup costs through insurance.

I’m sure germaphobe Trump took all possible precautions after that meeting - and I’m sure he does so after every meeting!

“The time to have properly prepare for this, was 6 weeks ago.”

We help out our elderly neighbors and I was trying to buy a little extra for them (their money) since Wuhan shut down. After a couple of weeks they said their monthly budget didn’t allow for too much extra. :(

I bought some things on my own dime and they are at our house. Plus, they know who to call if they need TP or paper towels or cleansers, etc.

She did ask for a large can of mixed nuts from Costco. I drove by earlier and the place was a zoo. I wasn’t going in just for her mixed nuts (and paper towels - but she can use ours.) I’ll try again later tonight. My wife is astounded at all the stores so crowded. I told her “With work and schools shut down - I guess folks figure they have free time to shop!” (That was earlier - now it is due to the President declaring an Emergency. Hmm - we live in a very liberal area - why are they believing the President now???)

What is really crazy, the last time I was in the local grocery store (early this week) only two out of 50 people had masks on other than me. And then they were just the doctor’s masks.

I wear a N95 mask and googles. Strip down in the garage, toss the clothing into decon and take a shower. I’m near Kirkland, Washington.

The Wu Flu maniacs have consistently overestimated the impact of this bug on the US. There no factual basis to think that will change any time soon.

When will they close the casinos?
Never.

The time to have properly prepare for this, was 6 weeks ago.

I did four weeks ago. Things were calm in the stores then.

I wear a N95 mask and googles.

I finally got my 3m respirator. I've had the filters for a week.

I could have bought everything I needed except TP tonight here in Florida. TP is available but you have to shop for it early in the day. There is no black friday panic here.

Slice spam about 1/4 inch and pan fry it. Not so bad. It’s website has lots of recipes.

My wife used to dip the spam slices in an egg wash before frying.

The finished product tasted good. It's apparently a Korean thing.

I’ve been a single dad for more than 10 years now, with full custody of my two daughters.

I made probably boring meals every evening for all that time, but my youngest daughter really took to baking. She became a really good baker!

She’s returning from Smith College today, but can’t come to my house because I’m in the high-risk population. :(

I’m eating beans and rice tonight. But I made the beans following an online recipe last week from dried beans in the electric pressure cooker - really good!
