This brings the total cases of COVID-19 in Iowa to 17. Fifteen of the cases are linked to Iowans who were on a cruise in Egypt. Fourteen of those individuals are Johnson County residents. Another person linked to the Egyptian cruise who tested positive lives in Carroll County.
A Pottawattamie County resident has also tested positive for COVID-19.
Reynolds said all 17 cases are travel related.

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Public health officials announced Friday afternoon that a person in El Paso County has died from the coronavirus. It is the first death from the virus reported in Colorado.
According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, the person who died was a woman in her 80s with underlying health conditions.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin confimed another case of the coronavirus disease following its announcement of the first two cases in the county Friday. Austin Public Health said early Friday morning it received two presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 in Travis County. These are the first two confirmed cases in this area.

Texas currently has 39 confirmed cases of COVID-19, Abbott said Friday. About 220 Texans have been tested for the virus, and 75 are currently being tested.
We have several cases in Virginia that are also linked to a cruse on the Nile.
My understanding is that they can all be sourced to A Taiwanese tourist who had had been on the ship. She did not start displaying symptoms until she returned to Taiwan.
What is unclear is if she was on the ship at the same time as the American tourists who have become infected. It sounds like she may have taken a cruise at an earlier point in time.

Yeah, It’s highly likely he is infected. But hey, he needs to be able to tell the most powerful man in the world “it wasn’t me!” Trump just before they put him on a respirator: “bring me the nuclear football”.
Seriously though, it’s obvious that Brasil is lying about CV infections, as are a lot of countries. People are walking around with false confidence that “it’s not here yet”.
I read those early threads and spent two and a half weeks out buying stuff. I don’t know if I have enough, but we’ll get by. I also bought not only food but all of the over the counter meds that we take and tried to make sure all of our prescriptions were filled.
No long lines for me.
