Based on the statistics that have been published, for most people it’s just a bad flu.
Of course for the elderly and people with compromised immune systems it is a problem.
Wash. Your. Hands.
The real issue appears to be that if we let it spread quickly we will overwhelm the hospitals. So we need to slow it down.
And stock up on TP.
The Chicom cootie rides the wind, so start running as fast as you can, otherwise the cootie will catch ya!
Lots of data...gonna have to re-read.
I’m immune suppressed, and thanks to all of the idiots in my area, I can’t get N95 masks. Luckily, my local hardware store is setting some aside for me tomorrow.
For now, because COVID-19 isn’t widespread in Chicago (some-crazy-how), I’m able to get away with a surgical mask covered by a reusable surgical mask (cloth). When cases spread, I’ll be wearing masks nearly all the time and swapping to N95.
I can quarantine myself all I like, but my family still has to come and go. I have some surgical-grade cleansers and some hand sanitizer kept by the door, along with masks if someone starts coughing and sneezing.
I am elderly, I think I am going to do just fine even if I do get the corona virus cold/flu. I took a temp job at an Amazon warehouse for 4 months over the Christmas season. I did just fine and it was hard work, 10 hours a day, 6 days a week!
I did, however, catch a cold which was pretty nasty so I stayed home a couple of days and got better. I did not develop pneumonia or die.
That being said, the very very elderly who are frail and immune compromised might develop pneumonia from this cold/flu and succumb.
The rest of us elderly who are active, fit and healthy, should not be unduly concerned.
for elderly people with compromised immune systems, anything can be a problem...my mom called to inform me one of her best friends who is on life support is having the life support turned off on Saturday...
The woman was quarantined for days on end while they did a coronavirus test- which came back negative. She was released then had a relapse. Turned out she had a bad case of pneumonia last summer and did not pay attention to doctors orders. Sad as i really liked this woman who i’ve known for years- but the point is anything and everything can be bad for the elderly with compromised immune systems or other symptoms...
Bingo.
“What should you do?”
Well, we can always try a good old fashioned witch burning.
Well, that for sure takes Hillary out of the race.
And tonic water. Now it seems that Gin and Tonic will cure what ails ya!
I’m for that.
.
this public hysteria is much more frighting than this illness
if it is made with real quinine.
“Then I’ll see you in Hell!”
