Damn! I wonder if Draft Kings and the other legal sports betting sites will be eligible for the assistance the gubmint is offering due to the Corona virus related downturn in business.

I just signed up for Hulu - 30 days free and then 5.99/mo

So far, lots of good stuff to watch and I’m not a movie/TV junkie.

“11.22.63” was an excellent 8-episode mini series. Also rewatching “12 Monkeys”, “The Mick”, “Timeless”

Why are we doing all this for this virus?

From what we hear, this virus is not life and death for most people. The elderly and those with underlying health concerns are most at risk.

But those people are still risk of all kinds of illnesses .

I guess time will tell, but we may well look back and conclude that we greatly overreacted to this, considering the level of threat vs. ongoing threats from influenza and other illnesses for which we don’t shut down society.

And I hate to be cynical, but I bet people like Rahm Emmanuel don’t want to let this crisis go to waste. Hopefully no new draconian laws or policies come out of Washington DC as a result of this virus.

The world has gone mad. As my fellow high school basketball coach tells our players, “Cool heads with hot games.” In my mind we are overreacting as a society in making decisions in haste.

They turned out to be the ultimate “bracket” buster this year! They would have lost though to Media Induced Panic in the national championship game!

One can bet on anything. Has any sports book posted an over under for death tolls?

My basketball coach, he done kicked me off the team
For wearin’ high heel sneakers and actin’ like a queen
The world’s comin’ to an end, I don’t even care
As long as I can have a limo and my orange hair

Damn, my school’s first real shot in over 15 years gnashed. Well, after the league finals this weekend, I guess that is it.

You should have picked stupidity.

I hope you are right. All this blows over and ends up being a big nothing burger except for all the money lost, of course. But I think, this is a sign that people who know are telling the people who are cancelling just about everything—Broadway, sports, cruises, etc. etc—that this is, in fact, a very big deal and that the money being lost may be the least of it.

This is not just happening in the US, but all over the world. The Six Nations Rugby Tournament is looking to not finish. Italy has basically shut down the whole country. This is a whole lot bigger than the deep state wanting to get President Trump.

I’m hoping in two months time we’ll all be around to comment on how overblown the crisis was in March. China, with extreme measures, is apparently (but who can trust their numbers?) not having many new cases. Korea and Taiwan, also with extreme measures seem to have their outbreaks under control.

It’s lawyers.

Who wants to be a billion dollar venture who “allows” someone to get sick.

It’s litigation prevention. Period.

KU fans gotta be pissed. This was their year, because by next year they will probably be on NCAA probation.
