I assume it said the flu was bad. Otherwise, please enlighten me.
What I fear has happened to our country is we have abandoned any sense of paying down or reducing our debt
We have not suffered any consequences for accruing a big debt.
A recent example is Pres. Trump wanted 2 billion to attack the corona virus problem. The Republican's said, not enough, you need 4 billion. The Dems said not enough you need 8 Billion.
Trump says OK i'll take 8 billion.
It is like debt doesn't matter anymore.-Tom
Maybe both?
Cruise Shareholder Benefits Instructions
Cruise travelers who own at least 100 shares of stock in Carnival Corporation (CCL) or Royal Caribbean (RCL) can receive up to $250 in onboard credits during their next vacation at sea.
My daughter has a cruise scheduled in July on the MSC Merivaglia in Copenhagen.
The Merivaglia today is having some difficulty in Florida. I couldn't resist sending her that info below

MSC lines in trying to get into the American market with some new large clean ships and this season is going to handicap all cruise lines. -Tom
It still blows my mind that they’re even trying to operate...but then again, I guess they don’t want to be sending out refunds.
Worldwide Ocean cruise ships number about 314 carrying close to 30 million passengers a year.
So lines that have not cancelled cruise trips are still making money.
Although passengers can diminish, and cruise prices can be lowered to make it worthwhile. A few cruise lines might make it through the panic and be OK, but only time will tell.
Princess and Viking, are presently taking a direct hit. -Tom
I posted letter sent from NCL- they are letting you cancel cruises and put the money towards another cruise..up until 48hours before cruise
Cruiseline MSC is starting to feel the panic.:
3/11/2020
Due the continued development of Covid-19 in many of the countries where our ships cruise to and from, restrictions have been imposed by various government and port authorities, which means MSC Cruises is forced to adjust or cancel some of our itineraries.
Tom here- On their website MSC goes on to list some areas and ships that will not be cruising for awhile. -Tom

Trump said that Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and MSC Cruises all agreed to the suspensions. He said the cruise line industry is a great and important industry it will be kept that way!"snip...

Like a boss!
Although these Cruise ships are not registered in this country and are foreign flagged , Americans do a lot of cruising and dozens of our American coastal cities have spent tons of money to make it possible for these ships to get in and out and dock, we are making money off them, and have to consider that factor, including our airlines and hotels etc. -Tom
