WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House has ordered federal health officials to treat top-level coronavirus meetings as classified, an unusual step that has restricted information and hampered the U.S. government’s response to the contagion, according to four Trump administration officials.
The officials said that dozens of classified discussions about such topics as the scope of infections, quarantines and travel restrictions have been held since mid-January in a high-security meeting room at the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), a key player in the fight against the coronavirus.

I think the point of classifying the meetings is to encourage open discussion at the meetings. If the minutes were going to appear in the Wash Post the next day, some of the participants might rightly hold back from fully expressing themselves. Also, can you imagine how every press conference would be dominated by questions about the minutes, how everything would be bogged down further in process and gotchas.

Article doesnt say the discussions were classified. It states that people without clearances were not permitted. Big difference and could be for many reasons, including that this was obviously LEAKED to the press.

It is a fact as the weather heats up the flu / virus die. Heat, humidity, and ultraviolet rays kills viruses before they can spread. Also, when it is warmer people spend less time inside. That is why there are flu seasons.

Florida has actually been chilly and we just switch to daylight saving times. This weekend it will be in the 90s. Let’s see what happens.
The problem is that not many people have been tested, so if they test thousands it might appear the number is growing when the infection was already spread (since 85% of the people who get this virus don’t even know it). So, we will have to wait a couple months for those currently who have it are cured.
