Time to stay calm and continue on....
Yesterday's thread is here:

“Dr. Osterholm from CIDRAP in MN - world reknowned kind of guy - has stated point blank that he thinks the encouraging of hand washing is mainly bogus, and that in fact he thinks BREATHING is the main form of transmission. It explains the Shincheonji church “auntie” who spread to so many people so fast, as well as the Biogen in Boston where 3 guys infected 70.”
Yea, I’ve concluded the same. Hand washing and ‘sanitizing’ is fine as a placebo and might be useful if a vector actually does spray a surface. But overall, it’s like recycling - you feel good because you’ve done your part, but you’re never told that what you threw in those bins gets dumped in the Pacific by China.
MS dept of health sat on that positive test from last Friday.
What else are they sitting on. Rotten eggs don’t hatch into cute chicks when you sit on them.

“Remember the video of the flight attendants on the Kalitta Air flight out of Wuhan? Their own air supply even? That.
Level 3 is what the hospitals are using with the bunny suits, face shields/goggles/etc. Thats imperfect for this disease and one reason so many medical professionals are getting this.”
Agree - seems they knew what was going on. Also, in the hospitals, even top-notch face protection and air filtering isn’t enough, considering the concentration of virons in the air and the length of time people are exposed. Some, enough, will leak through.

Sweet mercies. The patient did everything correct and the officials leave the public without information for their own hidden reasons.

It’s in Forrest County.
Know what else is in Forrest County?
University of Southern Mississippi.
Betcha he’s a student that went TDY to NO.
Please provide a link for a link for this. That's important information that should have a primary source provided.
Thanks!

From schiffman’s site:
“Schiffmann said he was concerned about the spread of misinformation, such as the unproved theory that the virus is seasonal and will soon disappear, and blamed the media for causing unnecessary panic.
People should have preparedness plans and stock up in advance instead of going on panicked Costco runs now, he said.”

Yup. Really need level 4 for this but those suits are UnGodly expensive.
Perhaps someone will come up with better, less expensive, gear after this is all over.
Level 3.5 as it were, that’s affordable enough for hospitals to use and really stockpile w/o breaking the bank.
My question on these incidents is, with the scarcity of test kits, how would one know if it’s the c-virus or the regular flu?
By the regular flu test coming back negative?
From the graphic:
Influenza A (common cold)
Influenza A = the common cold??

It could be. I wouldnt think it would have been from a state actor, though, as its a threat to all nations. It would be from non state actor ideologues, most likely high up in a state.
Heres a link quoting Osterholm encouraging hand washing:

Incorrect information. From March 9
Private laboratories are beginning to test for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, along with the Alabama Department of Public Health, which began processing specimens last week.
Dr. Karen Landers, area health officer for the Alabama Department of Public Health, said the state lab ran 10 tests over the weekend. All of them were negative. Prior to that, the agency sent about 10 samples to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Alabama tested about 20 people for coronavirus, no cases so far
Looks like the stock market is getting around to pricing-in the ‘new normal’. Roughly halfway there now!
"Recovery" doesn't confer immunity. It does appear to set you up for a severe cytokine storm on re-infection. You need to be extra careful to avoid a re-infection.
Yeah, the potential exposure is staggering.
Hopefully, the NBA scare has gotten it through to people that now is not the best time to hide out in the crowds!
Is there any news about our troop pull out? March 10 was the start.
