I think some of them are in denial, yes.
I think some likely aren’t even in this country and are posting that stuff for reasons only they know. Or even in this country. There are a LOT of program posters around. Some of them who were here a loooong time ago and have popped back up recently. I’ve wondered if the original poster died and the family donated the computer to some ‘computer recycling’ scheme and these accounts are in use by other nations. Not exactly serious about this but have wumao army in the back of my mind on this.
I think some are just assholes.

Don’t forget to get things that you can freeze, too. I’ve been freezing (scrambled) eggs, cream, butter, etc. IF you have the freezer space.

BUT There’s no connection between reported cases and actual cases.
An increase in reported cases is NOT an increase in spread.
Likewise a decrease in the growth of reported cases is not evidence of a decrease in spread- just diminishing returns from testing.
I agree. The countries that are among the best to have fought this are:
South Korea
Taiwan
Singapore
Japan
They are homogeneous, educated populace, and a history of being run as military dictatorships.
THE US is not homogeneous, lots of uneducated who are allergic to learning, and are a rebellious people.
I’m guessing that states/areas in this country that are homogeneous, etc. will do a lot better than the diverse states and areas that will likely devolve into raging dumpster fires...

Regarding SK, their reported cases may be dropping because they saturated the region with testing. Here in the US we are going on a long uphill ride and then the coaster heads straight down.

I think they decided almost everyone is going to get it sometime as it’s so contagious and the nation will be better off if the virus burns through with a minimum of containment. That’s the only logical conclusion.
