Regarding SK, their reported cases may be dropping because they saturated the region with testing. Here in the US we are going on a long uphill ride and then the coaster heads straight down.

or it could be that they stopped flights from China (mostly) around 30 days ago and China stopped seeding SoK

as an aside, ran across this interesting comment on Quora re SK:

Now it looks like it won’t.
The current South Korean government gave the Chinese government and the Chinese people the strongest support during the worst of the epidemic, both physically and mentally. Although pro-conservative political and religious forces are using this as an excuse to attack the current Korean government, banning Koreans from entering China at this moment will cause serious political harm to our friends.
China has used some less noticeable ways to deal with this trouble. Governments in local cities have begun to mobilize. All persons (regardless of nationality) from South Korea will live in the designated hotel for two weeks. Note that they did not use the words “quarantine” or “medical observation” in the announcement. And all costs are borne by the government. I think these lower-level governments have been instructed by the central government to prevent risks while not causing trouble for the current Korean government.

Further, the fully-operated Chinese industrial machinery will provide South Korea with their much-needed supplies. Including masks and nucleic acid detection reagents.
With the exception of Hubei Province, outbreaks in other provinces in China have basically ended. At the time of yesterday’s data, there were only five new confirmed cases in the country except Hubei. It’s time to start building a line of defense to block the importation of infected people overseas. In fact, China has also begun to refocus attention on economic and geostrategic strategies.
The political storm and further geogames surrounding the outbreak of the new coronavirus have just begun. Frankly, I hope that this time Americans and American compradors will perform better. Otherwise this game is too boring.
