Continuation of the thread.
Please use this thread to consolidate the discussion and stories.
I believe lisinopril is hydrochlorothiazide, which is a diuretic.
Frisco (which happens to be my hometown) is a suburb of Dallas.
I’m asking, because I haven’t looked.
Do other coronaviruses, like the common cold one, affect the kidneys the way this one seems to?
Interesting.
March 3rd is pretty late though.
We’ll never know because the media will:
A. protect the Dem governors.
B. The media is national and will make everything a national issue.
I read somewhere (please dont ask for a link at this point) that a person doing the registration of attendees at Biogen was positive for the virus (known only after the fact).
So you got your free conference back pack, your conference swag, etc., and you also go something else.
Yeah. Seen that rumor.
BTW, there are three US carrier strike groups and an amphibious group in the Middle East.
Lot of firepower there ‘coincidentally’...
Ahhh...so, the ‘CDC budget was cut’ mantra is just ANOTHER leftist lie?
As I think back to the convo of the Dr getting upset about my dosage of medicine and the heart issue....look at that article as it pertains to cardiac arrest. i remember the Dr refusing to believe me when I said I misspoke and requiring me to come in for lab work worried I could have a heart attack. I am pretty sure I told her the wrong HCTZ dosage.
Perhaps potassium is an issue for those that seem to get a second round of Wuhan and Flu and have a heart attack
Do they know if that was patient 0? How could they tell at this point.
Some local papers in some states will get to the bottom of it in their states, because their readers are demanding answers.
I have a lot of questions about this, and expect we will be able to get info on some of it in the next few weeks.
1. Why was Washington state able to do so much testing when other states were not? (details, like _exactly_ why)
2. Why have some states done zero tests. Do they have _no_ lab equipment and supplies?
3. Why have big states like Texas and Ohio done so few tests. It is hard to believe they didn’t have enough supplies and equipment, but what is the story there? (Hopefully the local papers will get to the bottom of that.)
Harder to get, as you say, will be info on what CDC knew and when they knew it.
That’s interesting.
Maybe the first bout affects electrolyte balance and the second does the trick.
You betcha!
No. two separate drugs combined. You can also buy them separately.
Guess I’ll have to get back on twitter...haven’t talked to him in awhile...
“I believe lisinopril is hydrochlorothiazide, which is a diuretic.”
Two completely different drugs, but often taken together.
You are letting your own fear effect how you see things. Pence was great. Even Politico, a publication that is far from being a cheerleader for the White House, wrote a piece praising Pence’s poise and demeanor, jokingly calling on Trump to “Make Pence the White House Press Secretary”.
When briefing a scared country about death, illness and a potential pandemic, your demeanor is serious, reserved and steady. You don’t smile, grin or joke. Also, it was a brief, without a teleprompter, read from podium notes, so he was looking down a lot. I just viewed portions of it again, and no one, particularly Pence, looked like they were “going to cry”. Here’s a link to the official White House video for you to watch.

Over the past two days, this thread has gone from mostly intelligent discussion of the COVID-19 threat to a mix of “blame-storming”, name calling, and doom and gloom that only detracts from our sharing information. Folks are beginning to get caught up in their own emotions and fears. It would be wise for all to step back and evaluate how they are viewing this crisis.
I don’t know.
might explain why gatorade seems to be an effective way to deal with mild cases
gatorade versus powerade difference is sugar versus corn syrup. might be other differences
“BTW, there are three US carrier strike groups and an amphibious group in the Middle East.”
