You are letting your own fear effect how you see things. Pence was great. Even Politico, a publication that is far from being a cheerleader for the White House, wrote a piece praising Pence’s poise and demeanor, jokingly calling on Trump to “Make Pence the White House Press Secretary”.
When briefing a scared country about death, illness and a potential pandemic, your demeanor is serious, reserved and steady. You don’t smile, grin or joke. Also, it was a brief, without a teleprompter, read from podium notes, so he was looking down a lot. Over the past two days, this thread has gone from mostly intelligent discussion of the COVID-19 threat to a mix of “blame-storming”, name calling, and doom and gloom that only detracts from our sharing information. Folks are beginning to get caught up in their own emotions and fears. It would be wise for all to step back and evaluate how they are viewing this crisis.
