Coronavirus can travel twice as far as official ‘safe distance’ and stay in air for 30 minutes, Chinese study finds

Authorities advise people to stay 1-2 metres apart, but researchers found that a bus passenger infected fellow travellers sitting 4.5 metres away

The scientists behind the research said their investigation also highlighted the importance of wearing face masks because of the length of time it can linger

List of dead microbiologists, over 100 killed or died in mysterious circumstances. All worked in government-funded or highly sensitive research projects.

Not sayin' I believe it's a conspiracy. Just remember these deaths in the news, back then.

The cashier at Tractor Supply sneezed and then asked me if I wanted the receipt in the bag. Yep, I sure do THIS time.

I did hear that allergies were going to be particularly bad here (Michigan) this year, though. Warm weather brings out the sneezes big time even in March

Makes sense, that’s where all the world’s top virologists hang out. And they’ve said it’s nothing to worry about. So there’s that.

“Authorities advise people to stay 1-2 metres apart, but researchers found that a bus passenger infected fellow travellers sitting 4.5 metres away”

Was the infected passenger sitting to the front of the specific other passengers that became infected (and how many were not infected and where did they sit) or was the infected passenger sitting behind the other passengers that became infected.

It matters, because if the original passenger sat to the front of the other passengers who got infected, then those other passengers could have caught the virus touching some part of the infected passenger’s seat on their way out of the bus. A further test of that would be if any passengers who sat more to the front than the original infected passenger were, any of them, found later to be infected, or not.

“Being on the bus’ by itself is a correlation but does not explain exact method of transmission. It is incorrect to assume the ONLY POSSIBLE method of transmission on the bus was “in the air”. Departing passengers touching any part of the infected passengers seat/seat back/seat arm rest (as people often do maintaining balance when departing a bus) could just as well have been the transmission method.

If taking any public transportation, wear latex gloves and never touch your eyes, nose or mouth with your hand.

The 6 foot rule is from seven years ago...

Stand back! Flu virus travels farther than you think

1/31/2013, MSN

If you know someone who is suffering from the flu, you might want to keep your distance. Infectious flu-containing particles exhaled by a sick person can travel at least 6 feet, according to a new study. The study involved 94 people who visited the hospital for flu-like symptoms during the 2010 to 2011 flu season.

Health care providers "could be exposed to infectious doses of influenza virus at a distance of up to 1.829 meters (6 feet) from patients," the researchers wrote in the Jan. 31 issue of the Journal of Infectious Diseases.

Researchers know that flu spreads through the air, especially when people cough or sneeze. But more specific details about flu transmission, such as the amount of virus a sick person produces and spreads into the air around him, was not clear, said study researcher Dr. Werner Bischoff, of Wake Forest School of Medicine in North Carolina.

It was previously thought that the flu spreads mainly through large particles, or droplets, in the air that travel short distances, from 3 to 6 feet. But the new study showed most flu viruses are found in very small particles in the air, Bischoff said. Smaller particles can travel farther than larger ones, he said. Because the study did not look at distances beyond 6 feet, the researchers cannot say whether the flu virus can travel farther.

The study also found that some people are more contagious than others. Nineteen percent of patients with the flu were "super-emitters," emitting up to 32 times more virus particles than their fellow flu sufferers, the researchers said.

For extra caution, consider changing your clothes when you get home from being in the public.

When clothed, Tetro says people shed 37 million microorganisms per hour, and that it’s hard to know which microbes will survive in clothing and for how long they’ll survive. Since we don’t know if people or surfaces we touch are infected with harmful germs, he says changing clothes can cut the chances of transferring microbes to surfaces and people in your house.

Sounds like you should strip in your garage and put your clothes in a sealed plastic bag, then take them straight to the laundry. Or maybe to the incinerator barrel out on the driveway.

Remember sometime back when many research biologists were mysteriously dying? Causes me to wonder if there is a connection.

Yep! CoasttoCoastam had many shows on the subject of dead microbiologists.. it's over 100 now.

In the old days we had a guy named Seymour here that ran seminars on spitting. He was good for 60’ at least. I’m not kidding.

That’s only half of it . Once they die , Corona victims do not simply die , they turn into corona zombies /s

corona zombies with no names, ages, or travel history? Something is getting very suspicious with this ?
