This one has me stumped- the version of thunderbird is 68.4.1
I tried opening thunderbird i nsafe mode- still no love-
Quick question: Do your Linux file-manager programs see the second NT drive?
If that doesn't take care of the problem call tech support.
Always worked for me.
Because, (re my post 2) if they don’t, the problem might be a corrupted fstab file (stands for file system table), not Thunderbird.
Boot to windows and run a chkdsk /f C:
I don’t know the answer to your problem, but firejail might be causing it. Pretty sure it’s suppose to stop programs from making changes to your machine. You may want to remove it and see if that fixes the problem.
—Side note... even though you didn’t use the software manager to download it, I think you can remove it using it.
I have finally given up on Linux and gone back to W7. I have pulled down Ubuntu twice and mint twice. Both work fast and smoothly until one day I boot up to a screen full of code and no way to manipulate it. It just sits there showing multi lines of code. Reloading the OS loses everything I had saved.

No expert on Linux myself, but most likely the problem is not with T-Bird, but it may to do with permissions, or the partition state. Trouble shooting: https://forum.manjaro.org/t/why-dont-i-have-write-access-to-my-mounted-windows-drive/89954/6
oh my gosh- ya know what? That’s almost assuredly what it is- Dang- forgot about that- thank you thank you thank you for pointing that out- Bet it’s what is causing it- I’ll work on it tomorrow and see- Not sure if there is a way to add my second hd to the list of approved or not?
Hopefully i can still use it- but if not, oh well-
Hey Daniel- i think Cats1 discovered what it is- Firejail-
Hi Thespian- I think Cats1 discovered what it is- Doh- didn’t even think of it being firejail- firejail prevents access to thigns like second HD & such- I’ll know more otmorrow- too tired tonight to muck with it-
Yes- They do- that was what was throwing me- but i think Cats1 down below in thread found the problem- firejail stopping me from saving anything to second HD
thnaks for looking that up for me- turns out it’s firejail causing the issue i now think- thanks to Cats1 suggestion-
OK- i just did a timeshift system revert to right before i installed firejail- Yup- that’s exactly what the problem was- thank you so much for pointing this out- it was driving me crazy- I couldn’t figure it out-
