I was going to say the same thing. Shaking hands, yes. offering the host, yes. Both together? Never.

It wasn’t done by this priest either.
Our priests used to put the edge of the host on the palm and full their fingers away without skin to skin contact. Also puts the altar boy out of a job.
Same. They probably mean after Mass but that doesn’t sound as dire.
He is an Episcopalian rector, not a Catholic priest.
They like to shake your hand on your way out of the church. We are watching Mass on tv for the first time in
many years.
