With coronavirus death toll in the U.S. rising to 19, people are becoming increasing afraid of contracting the disease. To date, there are 3,803 reported deaths with 109,835 confirmed cases worldwide. Also a total of 60,694 people have recovered from the virus. As the fear of coronavirus continues to spread, there are a growing number of reports of empty shop shelves as people rush to stock up on basic products such as hand soap, sanitizers, tissue papers, and many more. It got so bad that some stores are now limiting purchases of these products, more due to coronavirus fears.
The fears stem from the misleading information coming from mainstream media about the trend of the virus. The media shows the number of fatalities continuously increasing, on a time-based graph. The problem with this is that, the media only uses a cumulative graph to illustrate coronavirus deaths. However, if you look deeper at the raw data provided by John Hopkins on GITHUB, the number of global deaths per day are decreasing worldwide.
Hats off to Evan at TradeGuru, who first noticed the discrepancy in media’s cumulative statistics and created a more accurate chart. According to Evan’s analysis using the raw data provided by John Hopkins University, “the virus is decreasing in hotspots such as South Korea, China and Hong Kong (the first to deal with the novel virus). The press tells us it’s an outbreak, or a pandemic on the precipice. Both situations would suggest exponential growth. The actual data doesn’t suggest exponential growth of fatalities at all. The data suggests decline. In fact, the crude death rate is statistically 0.”
Also, it’s now being estimated that 80% of individuals that contract the coronavirus are asymptomatic or midly-symptomatic. And in this viral video, Rebecca Fraiser says she “never really felt unwell” after contracting the virus, and it “sounds like it is the case for the majority of people.”
30,000,000 million cases of the flu THIS YEAR, 20,000 deaths THIS YEAR young and elderly AND where is the hysteria OH there isn’t any!!! The ONLY people being severely affected by this virus ARE the elderly with underlying illnesses and compromised immune systems!! It is NOT affecting the young OR people that are healthy!! Those people are having symptoms very similar to a bad cold!!! The hysteria over this has been CREATED by the media AND unfortunately it is working to tank the economy, SO when Trump is NOT POTUS next term it will be the fault of all of the people accepting this hysterical BS from the media, they are THRILLED because something is FINALLY working for them to get Trump!!!

IF China's numbers are accurate do you realize that they've achieved in only SLOWING the GROWTH by essentially forcing people to stay at home for the last 2 months? In other words, the virus is STILL spreading even though they've shut down the country.
Why on God's green earth would ANY country go through what EVERY country is doing to slow down or stop this IF it's effects are simply like that of the flu?

The point is what good is panicking? Do you think Biden or Bernie would make you safer? Think about it. If the media was really interested in public health wouldn’t they be trying to calm people while passing on useful information to prepare and protect oneself? Looks like they are more concerned with “selling newspapers” and defeating Trump. Isn’t that obvious? Panic or heightened awareness will not protect you. If panic brings down this economy it will only make things much worse.

This is and has happened in every single place where this has taken hold. Every single country in the world is and has taken unprecedented, extreme actions to try and slow or contain this virus. In EVERY country this thing has hit about 10% NEED ICU. 15% to 20% NEED hospitalization.

The % needing ICU can only be known when large numbers of people are tested. WHen that is done, such as in South Korea, turns out that many more people have it than was thought, often with no or very mild symptoms. So your assertions of % neeing ICU is way, way off. Facts are what is important, not high emotional freakouts.
Another old person! All this panic, yet we clearly know which groups are at risk. We are shutting down the world economy, when we should be concentrating mostly on mitigation for the elderly.
Yup. And we have a handful of FReepers who are obsessed reporting every known incident of infection and/or fatality. Feeding panic.
