This is and has happened in every single place where this has taken hold. Every single country in the world is and has taken unprecedented, extreme actions to try and slow or contain this virus. In EVERY country this thing has hit about 10% NEED ICU. 15% to 20% NEED hospitalization.

WHen that is done, such as in South Korea, turns out that many more people have it than was thought, often with no or very mild symptoms. So your assertions of % neeing ICU is way, way off. Nobody is freaking out. Every country, every government, every person that knows anything about this virus has said the same thing: 80% of the people who get this virus have mild symptoms. That means 20% do NOT. Multiple sources have said repeatedly that 10% require ICU treatment. Governments...all of them...have come to the same determination and are doing everything in their power to slow down or stop the spread.

OTOH, S Korea is reporting 50 dead to 115 recovered, which is 30% of resolved cases - which is in line with the current figures excluding China and Iran. That number WILL go down, but not likely to 2% or below.

Yep. And people writing articles based upon either version of anti-facts isn’t helpful either. What would be nice, even mid-outbreak, is some quality cohort studies. The incomplete ones done so far (because the disease takes so long to resolve, which is a problem in and of itself), show much higher than .1, or even 2%.
