I really hope I’m wrong but until I see some serious reduction in the infection rates here and abroad I’m going to keep crying wolf.
Last weekend I was told “just wait a week” and we would be hit hard in the US. Well, here a week later and nothing much has changed. So much for the prognostications of the virus pumpers.
The current number of cases in the U.S. is 478. A week ago it was 57.
Those numbers are small. You can look at them and maybe convince yourself that there is nothing to worry about.
But the number of cases went up by a factor of about 8. If that growth continues then we will be approaching 4000 a week from today.
Watch the trends. See if the number of new infections are, hopefully, slowing down. If they aren’t then it will be 30,000 or so in 2 weeks from now.
