Praying for you.
Also praying you’ll get the correct medical help, right away.
You have FR Mail from me.
Prayers to you.
Amen!
A lot of diabetes especially type 2 diabetes is diet caused.
You’re in my prayers, Laz.
Explore a keto diet. It’s very important to get your body to absorb the excess sugar that is in your blood. Through Keto, you minimize your carbohydrates and your body can process the excess blood sugar.
Even a modified keto diet may be helpful in your case, if you cannot go full Keto.
Sending you best wishes for a full recovery, Laz! You’re an institution around here!
Jesu, Laz. My A1C went from 11.3 to 8.6 in six months - where’s yours currently at? I’d hate to see where mine dials in right now because I was a naughty boy over the holidays. You experiencing any neuropathy?
Prayers up
We've had a long experience with diabetes in my oldest son (he's 58)... Five years ago he almost had to lose his foot... He has persevered and, for the past few years, has kept the diabetes under control and, recently, has gone off the needle...
That shocked the hell out of me as I'd never had health problems before. But I was overweight and ate a lot of breads, pasta, and sugar. I could devour an entire apple pie in one sitting for example. Or I would go through a half loaf of bread with a plate of spaghetti. Drank a lot of beer too.
Back then, it wasn't called Keto, it was called the Atkins, or the "Low Carb" Diet. But I started it April 1, 2003, stuck with it and lost over 100 pounds in less than a year, going from 323 pounds to 197 pounds. I'm around 220 now but being 6'3", that's an excellent weight to be at.
And NO diabetes. Not a trace of it.
Eliminating sugar and processed foods (that are laden with carbs) had everything to do with it. I'm pretty sure it extended my lifespan by a decade or so.
My endo’s A1C chart shows 12 and up as “slow motion suicide”.
Definitely caught my attention.
Exactly. I’m on Farxiga, metformin twice daily, and was taking a weekly shot of Trulicity until the insurance company stopped paying for it, so I’m trying to work with my doc to find a fat-soluble replacement for it. I’m allergic to the preservative in the suspension solution of a lot of brands of insulin, so that’s a Hail Mary. I also take Neurontin 300 mg/x4 daily for neuropathy for multiple reasons.
FWIW I had problems with diarrhea on Met I had a scrip for 1000 non ext release twice a day.
We switched to 500ER four times a day and no problems.
So I take one with each meal and one at bedtime.
90 days is 360 large pills..two huge containers LOL..but dirt cheap at WM.
Prayers up Laz...
....AND TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOURSELF FOR PETE’S SAKE!
When I go to the doc I had a bad habit of failing to bring up ALL items that were going on thinking I knew what was critical to the main issue. Late diagnosing stage 3 cancer, by five months cured me of that habit. Im am praying for you in this and I know it will have your full attention I the future.
Is there ringing in your ears, too?
There should be -—— as so many of us are praying for you!!! Please take care of yourself, as we need you here.
Behave!!!!! XO
