How do we know that people who had the flu up until now did not have the COVID19 strain if we never tested for it? I mean, ITS THE FLU. I will apologize if I am wrong, but this whole thing is absurd to me. 56,000 die a year from complications due to the flu. Again, how do we know that this particular strain did not exist before.
Again, I apologize in advance if I am being ridiculous. I have been traveling this week. Nobody is wearing masks. I am in a plane right now. Plane is full from DC to Las Vegas. Dont let a good crisis go to waste. The Dems would like nothing more than to see the economy crash. And they may get their with if the flaming harpies on TV keep up their hysterical shreaks. OK.. Rant over.
i trust no one... though your advice is sound... what are YOUR sources?
hehehe
So, my wife and kids all got sick several weeks ago. Oldest was tested positive for Flu A, but my wife and youngest tested negative. All three had the same exact symptoms!! Aches, fatigue and temps of 103. The only difference being the the two who didn’t test positive had a cough. I had zero symptoms. Could it be that my wife and youngest had corona virus, but it wasn’t identified because there was no knowledge or test for it? Something ran through here that took out hundreds of kids and adults for at least two weeks and not all of them tested positive for the Flu. That’s a fact.
I am certain my cold was not the beer virus. I only drink almond liquor these days.
Good question. We don’t know because testing only started recently. Could’ve been around since who knows how long. Could’ve been around last season for all we know. That’s my guess.
I have wondered if it’s been here already myself.
So many people we knew were all sick this year.
My whole fam damily got some kind of severe cold or mild flu for Christmas and whatever it was seemed to go away and come back several times. I think it’s finally gone but every time I went out I’d feel weird for a day or two like I was coming down with something and then it would go away.
Still taking some precautions and avoiding the public-as usual.
Have you heard of placebo’s?
I think the question she is asking is, how do we know if all the deaths ascribed to influenza was actually influenza caused? Was testing done or is it just based on diagnostic symptoms and death certificate information?
Pneumonia is a symptom of many viral and bacterial infections. Is testing done every time? Some of the time?
Are the statistics based on actual testing or models?
Of course.
a) cytokine storm
b) acute respiratory distress syndrome (your air sacs are too full of fluid, for enough oxygen to go OUT of the air you just breathed in, into your blood)
c) permanent organ damage and/or death
Auto accidents kill hundred thousand every year in US.
Is anybody working on a car vaccine?
Last year in US, estimated 35.5 million had flu with 61,000 deaths. .00171 death rate.
So far in US, 138 with Covid-19, with 9 deaths. .065 death rate.
Covid-19 is at least as contagious as the flu, probably more. We probably need to see how it looks in a few weeks before we know the impact.
As they seem to be testing some recent deaths as shown by adding one more in Washington over a week after they thought he died from the flu, there is a good possibility that many mild cases are being classified as flu. But, most places do not diagnose flu without testing, so these people would have to be untested — probably self treated, like me.
Your question was very good, and I can only think a placebo test would be better to prevent more panic.
Dr. John Campbell of the UK talks about this, and more, in his most recent Youtube video:
Same here. I won’t go to the doctor unless I need stitches, a cast or antibiotics. I don’t believe a yearly checkup is an absolute necessity either. I know my body and if something is wrong I’ll see to it but until then I’m staying out of the system as much as possible.
The rapid flu tests are only 50-70% accurate but cost only 5-10 bucks. Super accurate lab cultures are upwards of $200.

I think you have to keep in mind that it started in China, had it been there for a long period you would have likely already seen the near breakdown of the country you witnessed this time around. That is, no country would be able to handle it and just the sheer numbers would show it was something new.
In looking back, I’d set the “start date” as sometime in early Dec 2019, with the true exponential aspect of it became obvious the first week of Jan 2020.
But at any rate, the experts would catch on before very long that it was acting like an animal they had never run into before.
I have not had a physical this century. I’m 66. The last time I went to the doctor was in 2011 when I first moved to Kentucky. In August I weedeated my field’s perimiter near the woods wearing nothing but shoes and cutoffs.
I learned about the bugs and poison ivy the hard way. But all the doctor did was give me a steroid shot. I could have done without it.
Do you remember, a long time ago, the number of peeps dying from the swine flu vaccine?

Four of the deaths were at life care. There are probably many more undetected cases. So the statistics are fluid at this point.
