If I was still working I’d take a cruise!
Me: “Boss I’m back from my cruise on the SS Plague. See you Monday.”
Boss: “No, take another week off. Don’t want you bringing the virus back.”
Me: “Gee, boss., I can’t afford to.”
Boss: “I’ll authorize pay for it.”
Me: “Well, boss... wouldn’t it be worth it to give me a bonus too? Think of all the production you’d lose if I infected the plant...”
This is what I’ve been wondering about for awhile now- what happens to recovered patients in a week, a month, etc.? What are long term effects, if any? What happened to this young man that he was released then dies a few days later? Was he tested negative? Did he suddenly then test positive and die? Or- were other organs affected from virus that caused sudden death?
All unanswerable questions right now, but it’s very curious.
I hate those things. “Save Trees! (Infect people!)”
I have wondered about the proverbial year in college. or how about non-inhaled products (cigars/pipes).
now how about vapers? aside from the horrible effects it has fairly quickly, it might set them up for bad things here too.
well, it was clearly already circulating in hawaii quite a while anyway (the japanese tourist is documented and presumably there are other vectors).
presumably dod is moving stuff around for domestic deployment.
I am a life-time cigar smoker, and I can assure you they are totally harmless.
It is settled science! ;-)
Maybe we will get to have a “black helicopter” thread.
I miss those. :-)

From the above post:
A New York City public-school teacher who recently traveled to Italy is under self-quarantine after showing symptoms of the new coronavirus, prompting city officials to give her school a deep clean and to have disease specialists retrace her steps, officials said Wednesday.
The teacher spent a few days in the classroom before showing signs of the illness, officials said at a City Hall news conference.

MD Freak State PING to #605.
When I lived on Guam, I used to go SCUBA diving in a remote restricted area called NAVFAC. It was crazy how many sharks there were. All of our dives were at night, and we swam out a hundred yards or so on our backs before descending. One time, we had a new guy with us, and half way out, he rolled over, turned on his light and started yelling “shark!”. We told him, “turn off your light and don’t look down”.
Testing for COVID-19 is the same. No testing, no sharks. I don’t know if there are any infections in Hawaii. Neither does Hawaii Department of Health.
“If there’s no cans here, there’s no imports”.
Empty.
Thanks for that info.
My three evil, older sisters started me smoking in Bangkok when I was 12. The Thai stick was real too.
I had a hard time after that, and finally cleaned myself up when I joined the Army in 1983. Ive been clean ever since (if you dont count Scotch).
I do enjoy a cigar from time to time.

contractor in Seattle has been diagnosed with #coronavirus #covid19. The person was last in the office on Friday, Feb. 21. The office, Stadium East, will close until Monday.
Thanks! Out there is a generous characterization.
I just hope that she can come home without the virus.
