This date: We woke up to a syndicated news report aired over KSFO Radio, San Francisco, that there is a Federal Appeals Court hearing today on the Texas ruling, Feb 25, 2019, ruling the Male-Only Draft to be unconstitutional.
We've been scouring the Internet for any mention of the hearing scheduled for today, but cannot find one item.
Any Freepers with info on this?

Equal protection under the law is a quaint concept, but we’ve decided just to do what feels good to us at the moment. You may have a different Truth.
We have a good number of daughters and granddaughters, raised up in Biblical Christian tradition and in those convictions, who would not register. We believe that national defense is actually undermined by hollowing out our homes-—taking our young wives and daughters away to serve in the armed forces.
There is no draft. And it’s almost impossible to imagine any political circumstances where there might conceivably be one.
Reagan proposed to eliminate Selective Service as a total waste of taxpayer money. He was right. He should have stuck with that pledge.
Since there is still the SSS, and females may well be required to register, we are interested in this subject.
"DRAFT" is certainly the key word used for the entire subject when it is reported about in news reports of all kinds. People who pay attention to this subject are NOT to be taken as ignorant---we know that currently there is NO draft under way.
We have been keeping an eye on this since the 1980s, and have congressional letters on the subject from the 80s, stating that females would "NEVER" be required to register because the SSS is in place to assure the availability of MALES for COMBAT duty, and females would NEVER be placed in combat roles.
Those are not my words, but the words found in dozens of letters from U.S. Senators and Congressmen as far back as the 1980s.
We are chronicling the progression that we have known to be happening for years toward women in direct combat roles, and the eventual drafting of females.
We believe this: As soon as females are required to register for Selective Service, a draft will be tested in one way or another. It MUST happen to experiment with our daughters. It is coming.
And if a great war breaks out today there won’t be one.
The public would refuse to accept it. There would be massive draft evasion if one were attempted. And protests would be off the scale.
AND....here’s the biggie.....we have a YUGE population of young people that you wouldn’t want to draft anyway under ANY circumstances. They would be totally useless as soldiers and likely disruptive to the work the military was trying to do.
No, World War III will be fought by volunteers. And robots.
Only take the fat broads and horse faced lesbians.
Or the lying dog-faced pony soldiers.
I’ve seen statics that imply that for every warfighter on the front lines, there are eight rear-echelon types dealing with the supply lines, infrastructure, medical...and so on. My experience in the military during the Viet Nam era makes me think this could be accurate. So why not have everyone available for these jobs that are less dangerous, and be willing to pay handsomely for the young warfighter able and willing to do the real wet work...
Young people in the WW II era had a sense of duty to country.
How many do you think would have it today? I say the number is shockingly low.
Put somebody into a position where they don’t want to be and they WILL screw you. Particularly in a culture where doing that has come to be viewed as justifiable and cool.
I would not want to be that front-line warrior relying on eight bitter, p*ssed-off draftees to keep me supplied.

I don’t think they did rule specifically on the constitutionality of an all-male draft.
How many men would declare themselves female if a draft were re-instated? Seems like an easy way out and I don’t think anyone is allowed to question your “choice”.
And the alternative public service idea doesn't cut it either with us. Millions of us still believe, Biblically, that the role of women is first-and-foremost in the home.
My wife's mother stayed home and raised five. My mother stayed home and raised four. My wife stayed home and raised seven. Three of our daughters are married and staying home to raise thirteen (thus far).
It is genuinely what we believe Biblically. Requiring our women folk to leave their homes---not going to happen.
