This is not accurate information.
For a person trying to use a mask to protect themselves from airborne particles, the mask must fit snuggly, be worn properly. You also need to cover your eyes. If there is something in the air, any air you take in that doesn’t go through the mask will infect you.
But if you are sick, you are dumping amounts of virus into the air, a little bit in normal breathing, but it turns out, mostly when you cough or sneeze (breaking loose stuff the virus is clinging to).
FOr your air, if 95% goes through the mask, and 5% around it, you have improved things 95% by wearing a mask. For expectorant, it will fly into the mask, and be trapped, rather than flying out and landing all over things and getting in part into the air.
So, in fact, they need the masks for people who are infected. Which in fact is how most masks are used, and where they are the most useful.
Top US doctor says coronavirus now an outbreak, possibly a pandemic

Dr Fauci
right, and the date of the flight was Feb 16, arriving Travis and points beyond Feb 17. 15 days ago. Which, for the first two rounds, and for bunches of ‘recovered’ out of Wuhan, was sufficient quarantine.
When you get out of that taxi, you’ll be covered head to toe with the virus.
People are so terrified to miss work.
When I worked in call centers, refusal to go home sick would show up on your review. We had 200 agents in a large room...24/7. Stuff would rip through them.
Did they get paid if they called in sick?

The things that fall out of Biden and Bloomberg’s mouths.
Fake merchandise from Amazon stores? Wouldnt be the first time.
Sure. Hair, clothes, tie, etc. Hopefully its’ a sunny day and the UV can do it’s job, along with the virus drying out on natural materials such as silk or wool. But the virus in the mask isn’t going to dry out because you’ll be hitting it with moist and warm exhalations 20 times a minute.
If masks aren’t used for protection, then hospital staff are not being put at risk by not having them—as we are now told they are.
Sure, they are only one piece and probably a small one at that, but even if they help someone keep from touching their mouth or nose, that is a help.
According to CDC protocols, the Vice President should _not_ be tested.
I hope somebody close to the VP ignores the protocols and tests him anyway, again not out of concern for the VP (who should be fine) but out of concern for all the folks he comes in contact with every day.
As a matter of perspective: Italys first two cases were Jan 30. Im guessing we are Well over 3000 cases in the US
That is my read as well...
POTUS and VP along with their families should be tested every other day. Wish Trump would stop the rallies and stay home. And stay away from all demonrats and RINOs out to get him. I wouldn’t put it past them pulling something.
CDC wrangled a shutdown of USAMRIID last August. Dustin Hoffmans movie character Colonel Sam Daniels was not happy, but may have the last laugh.

@GovRonDeSantis
Roommate of the woman who the CDC confirmed to have the virus Mon has tested presumptive positive Tuesday.
The hospital staff will know how to fit them properly, and are in a high-risk area.
An average person is already keeping some distance from other people, and is more likely to pick up something by touching a surface touched by someone who sneezed into their hand, and then rubbing their eyes or near their mouth or nose.
That’s why the focus is on not touching people or things, NOT touching your face, and using disinfectant whenever you DO touch things.
We’ve started wiping down our chairs at work a couple of times a day.
They should have temp checkers in hazmat suits at the front doors. Maybe that visual will sink with some of the ten-foot-tall-and-bullet-proof attendees. ;)
The main reason that masks are being discouraged is because most are made in China and we have a shortage of them for the expected medical demand.
That’s it. No need to try to push the rationalization here.
