2 confirmed cases in Fulton county. One person traveled from Italy, came home, began having symptoms and called his doctor. Doctor had him enter through a separate entrance of the doctor’s office, not where other patients are. The couple is isolated at home with other family members. Mild symptoms. Never went to the hospital.
actually that is not an implied assumption. I think if it was artificial it was accidental release of something they were doing experiments with. apparently work in this vein was done at UNC a few years ago. sloppy controls. bats can be sold for cash down the street. i have lived in 3rd world much of my life and it makes perfect sense.
the concept I see is major destabilization of the world geo-political balance, including governments and economies, has a much higher chance of real wars starting that the way things were up until now. I am not naming who fights who, just that the pot is really getting stirred and some players may see opportunities that weren’t viable before. I am not saying next week, just over the years to come.
China is the only country capable of shutting it down domestically.
But who else can implement those draconian measures? There is no will for it.

one of my homeschooled (god bless my wife) 12 year old twins looked up at dinner tonight and said “ I guess homeschoolers will be the smartest kids in the world since they’re the only ones that will be going to school”. CDC already blinked. Nirenberg is playing to a packed house since it is an election year, and tomorrow is Primary Day in TX.
San Antonio really does have a comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. They’ve dealt with housing hurricane displaced, flooding, Congolese Refugees dumped off downtown by the Fed’s, etc.

Okay fine. I was at that stage 4 weeks ago. You will get through this, or at least some of you will. Lol. We should all be thankful Trump had energized our economy. Right now I am sitting on more food then I ever sat on before. We at least were in a position to prepare. Now perhaps we should assist and help those less fortunate. Imagine being caught right now with 3 days food and $20 total available cash. And the third world just may be beyond decimated.

if it helps, I would like to be 100% wrong in everything. almost no one dies, it is one and done and no more virus next year, etc. real death rate I think we will get a decent idea of from europe before our own. next year? just because the cdc doesn’t say so doesn’t mean this virus is guaranteed to vanish soon forever.
