Just hours from leaving for home, Texas extends quarantine for CNY couples

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — On Monday afternoon, San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg declared a public health emergency restricting travel for anyone who has been in quarantine, specifically those who were on the Diamond Princess cruise ship.
The two Central New York couples that were stuck on the Diamond Princess with infected passengers with the coronavirus were due back from their second quarantine on Monday.
When Cheryl and Paul Moleksy woke up Monday on the Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio, Texas, they thought they’d be going to bed back home in Syracuse.
But just when they thought when they’d finally get to come home, an unexpected phone meeting with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention changed their plans.
“What we found out on the phone call is that we won’t be going anywhere. That there was on going tensions between the state of Texas and San Antonio saying that we had to be tested again. We won’t be leaving today,” said Paul Molesky.

Out of all of those Iranian videos of people dead or dying, I only noticed one older person. That was pretty much the story of all those Chinese videos, too. Strange...

When community-spread based testing starts people will go nuts.

5, 57,431 passengers have been screened at the airports, and 12,431 at the seaports.Passengers are further monitored under community surveillance through IDSP network on a daily basis. Also, 25,738 passengers are under community surveillance of the IDSP network. 15 labs are functional and 19 more will be made operational soon, he mentioned. Reagents to test up to 25000 samples have been made available. Total of 3245 samples were sent out for testing, of which 3217 were found negative, 5 samples positive and 23are under testing. Out of five positive cases, three earlier patients (in Kerala) are already discharged from the hospital and two new positive cases are found, one in New Delhi and one from Telangana with the travel history from Italy and Dubai, respectively.

Good! Maybe this is in reaction to the infectd lady who was *accidentally* released, in San Antone.
Next week it will start if the new tests kits are processed quickly and the numbers go up as expected.

I have been recommending 30 minutes of sunlight per day as the best preventive and treating of most viruses/germs per day.
As you note, if we can do that around our lunch time it is even better.
Also, this improves our dopamine level which makes us feel better. If we feel better, our immune systems work better.
Last but not least people with Parkinson’s disease do better with 30 minutes of sunlight per day because of the increase in dopamine levels.
Our mothers and grandmothers knew to get us out in the sun to play and to open the windows when it wasn’t freezing,snowing or raining outside.
Well if the test used on that guy was faulty, maybe they are double checking everyone

The one guy from the cruise ship, I believe, said that it was no worse than the cold.

Dr. Ettore Palazoo with EvergreenHealth said that in addition to the confirmed cases at the facility, there are 29 cases that are pending investigation.
“We have made adjustments at the organization to allow for airborne precautions,” Palazoo said. “We are in a situation where we are able to convert our entire critical care unit over to a negative pressure scenario where we can keep those patients and staff caring for the patients safe.”
