Initial report is there were more sick workers then patients at the long term care facility. Were talking 100 to 200 Americans going down there eventually. And that’s just our first hot spot.
My wife has heard rumors of CT cases (CVS is rumor central) but no confirmed media reports.

Like some hybrid flus this virus can kill by making your immune system go berserk. Cytokine storm. That’s what can kill young adults with strong immune systems.
Lung diseases that kill infants and the elderly usually do it by secondary pneumonia.

Covid and influenza are lung disease, deep in the chest. You will feel short of breath.
If your mask does not fit properly as you were trained to wear it, then you are actually more at risk than if you had none. And if you have a bug, you will more likely spread it around because your mask does not fit properly so the virus will escape.

The virus causes a lung infection. The only pathway in is through the sinal passages. So the sinuses are as sick as the lungs, until you take medication. Typically sinuses are infected first. Then the lungs. Makes sense anyways physically.

I am also involved in another (totally unrelated topic) forum that has a coronavirus thread. The most interesting comments there are from the Pacific Northwest. People are _very_ jumpy up there—and the stores are getting crowded.
Other tidbit from that group—big-time cancellations in NYC hotels from foreigners.
That was over 100 freshly dead bodies there. They appear to be multi bagging the corpses in the east.
It sounds as if a round of the regular flu in this facility would have had the same result.
