I'll take the monetary hit of about $500, and I got the travel insurance.
Can you go online and cancel?
The penguins will be very disappointed youre not coming to visit.
How long is your window to cancel? Any monetary issues if you wait a couple of weeks to decide?
I wouldnt go, but cant make the decision for you but if you can cancel to be on the safe side I wouldnt take the risk. Not sure how bad things are in Moracco right now but in 3 weeks from now who knows what will happen in that part of the world
We going to WDW in mid-April, and NOLA in two weeks. Haven’t entertained the first thought about canceling.
I wouldnt go. If Morocco has already cancelled public events, your answer is right there. Remember, a needless third-world panic is still a third-world panic.
Just hope your travel insurance covers pandemic and cancel for any reason....these insurers are already taking huge losses
Don’t think ... DO CANCEL. Are you crazy, you are mostly likely going to be on a plane for hours and hours breathing COVID-19 in, not joking, don’t be a fool.
Moroccos lèsemajesté makes mocking, criticising, or otherwise speaking badly about the Moroccan king illegal. A few misguided mutterings may offend, but going too far could actually lead to a jail sentence of up to three years
I’d give up the $500 and defer the trip.
Ask yourself this — will you enjoy the trip given the coronavirus uncertainty?
Heres a thought. If you are determined to visit the continent of Africa, why not consider one of the Spanish North Africa enclaves? If I had a choice Id rather have a Spanish official making decisions for me than a Moroccan one.
Here are some details about those Spanish enclaves.

The worst thing imaginable would be for you to get sick and be hospitalized in Morocco.
I say CANCEL!
I had a casual conversation last Friday with a highly sophisticated biomedical guy. He was level headed about the current situation but said that the ease of transmission was a real concern. He also said that there was no way he would get on an airplane until we have a better handle on this thing. You might want to rethink discretionary travel.

18:18 GMT - Morocco will postpone sports and cultural events over coronavirus fears, a government committee charged with overseeing the states response to the disease said on Sunday, state media reported.
Morocco says it has tested 25 people suspected of having the coronavirus but so far all the tests have come back negative. The country has not confirmed any cases
I usually do Caribbean cruises, but this time I’m just doing an all-inclusive in a rather private area on the far end of one of the islands, far from the tourist areas. Flight leaves this week. Hopefully flights back home will still be going next week!!!
Exquese me? What’s to think? You been listening to CSNY too much!
What would worry me more than being in Morocco is taking a plane there. You don’t know where other passengers have been or if they have kept themselves clean. Bucket list later if you can.
Antarctica is far safer.
You might want to wait and possibly a travel waiver will be issued. This might give you a full refund.
We are leaving for Gran Canaria Thursday morning for a week at an all-inclusive resort. In May we are flying to the UK, my wife meeting with a group of ladies that she went to college with and in June we have booked a house in Tenby for a week. The only thing that will stop us is travel restrictions.
