My wife and I saw the "Jake From State Farm" commercial yesterday for the first time in a long time. Did you know "Jake" is now a black guy? He used to be a sort of plump white guy. Now he is a slimmer young black guy.
He still wears khakis and a red shirt, though.
You haven’t seen them both, or all.
They’re “ALL” named Jake to protect the continuity of the original clip, guessing because the Vince Vaughn-type Guy was popular.
The original Jake is in the next cubicle.

I saw a guy dressed as him for Halloween a few years ago. :-)
I’ve seen the resurgence of that State Farm commercial but not with a black guy. Also Geico is bringing back some of their good commercials. Why not recycle them? They were for the most part good and non-irritating.
Jake changed his color - not his gender, I guess.
