The injuns were never party to the US constitution. If we had a memorial or named military equipment after an Indian chief that started a war with the US than I would support getting rid of that also.
If not for the civil war Robert E Lee would be a nobody. As would most generals who fought in the war. The only thing that makes him famous is he took up arms against America. In direct violation of his oath. As his cousin, Rear Admiral Samuel Philips Lee said when asked why he stayed loyal to America; “When I find the word Virginia in my commission, I will join the Confederacy”
I am against all those things, including women serving in combat. It is not an either or proposition.
Any flag of any group or country that waged war against America offends me.
The same leaders that are destroying Confederate symbols are the same ones allowing homosexuals, pregnant women serving in the ranks.

No they did not. They wanted to secede, go their seperate ways that the Constitution allows. The South kept getting harangued to the point of war.

If you care to do some research you will find that Virginia reserved the right to secede from the union at the ratification of the Constitution.
Also non of the Confederate leaders were ever tried for Treason if I remember correctly.
That is in the process. Look at the efforts to change the nicknames of the Washington NFL team or the Atlanta MLB baseball team.
