Hang in there, fellow cancer brother. I wish I had similar hopeful news to report on my end, but I’m afraid I don’t.
If I had to guess, I’d say I’m past the event horizon now.

I don’t know how much treatments have changed in the past nine years, but the nurses used to give us intravenous Benadryl along with the chemo. It makes you drowsy. Expect to fall asleep in the recliner with the book in your lap. :-)

Father in Heaven, please grant Bender2 a stress free treatment experience, protect Bender from side effects of treatment and secondary infections. I pray that you guard Bender from the fear of the unknown so common to us all. I pray that you bless Bender and Greg Allen and help them perceive your presence as they work through this. I ask these things in Jesus’name, Amen.

God Bless You Bender2. I’ll be praying for you every day. I’m good at praying. My youngest son, now 49, had surgery for cancerous polyps last March, and finished his chemo in November. He’s now dealing with neuropathy pain in his hands and feet. It’s a side-effect of the chemo, and they’ve told him it may never go away. He underwent catheterization of the heart on Tuesday, but they found nothing, no blockages that could explain the periodic spiking of his blood pressure, and heart palpitations. He’s had a heart murmur his whole life. He also told me that his oncologist found a spot on his adrenal gland in his last scan, and we are now waiting for her to see him regarding that.
Dear Father in heaven,
Please bless Bender2 with strength, comfort, and healing in body, mind, and spirit. Send your angels to guard and protect him. Please minimize the ordeal and aggravation of the medical treatment. Keep him in good spirits.
