Yeah, my somewhat befuddled 91 YO mother wants to go grocery shopping.
I go by myself at 0 dark hundred on Sunday. Slather hand sanitizer before closing the door or touching the steering wheel, strip to my skivvies in the garage, outer clothes dumped in the washing machine, shoes stay in the garage, lube my hands with hand sanitizer, then in the house and straight to the shower. Food stays in the car for four days.
About 2-3 times a day she asks if the flu is over...

Emergency Prep in most hospitals is a low level expense.
In the BIG hospitals (the big Boston hospitals for example) are good at it. But the other50 hospitals in MA? Not so much.
And The CDC can have all the plans they want. There is no one at most hospitals reading them. And they don’t have the necessary materials to treat anything modestly above the projected work loads.
I am not suggesting it’s the apocalypse. But if this happens in a contained area, you will see the woeful unpreparedness of out hospital systems.

Costco today for me...two month’s worth.
Their rice was selling out very fast. I got one of the last 50 lb bags of jasmine rice. It’s not cheap, but it is GOOD.
They are SO awful! How does he not want to slap them silly!
I happen to believe in the effectiveness of proven public health measures, and think it’s only prudent to prepare when a disease is spreading that has killed 9% of those in whom it has run its course. I’m not running for the hills or looking for a cave. I’m just saying that it’s better to prepare than not to prepare. If that’s what you call panic, then good luck to you.
I live in hope that there are still some real Statesmen on the other side, instead of just political whores.

CNN has on a TOWN HALL with mini mike b. and didn't cover it either but MSNBC did have it on...and after it ended they went to the drinker, the Matthews dude...I was just flipping the remote to see..then returned to FOX BUSINESS, did not want to put up with Ms. Martha...
I'm sure OLD CHARLIE SCHUMER will have a press conference tomorrow and so will the scrambled brain Pelosi..she was a real ‘scatter’ brain today on the news clips I seen of her...

and also read today where MAYOR PETE canceled four appearances in Florida today as he is home sick with a cold...can't work with a cold, maybe it is Corona flu, and he shared it with Mini Mike last night...
