It’s a great quote. A month ago I finished listening to the Killing England, by Bill O’Reilly.
It’s the story of the American Revolution and it has excellent personal information on Ben Franklin, and host of many other people on both sides of the conflict.
And Ben Franklin’s life was filled with the great tragedy of his own son becoming a notorious traitor to the revolutionary cause — and basically trying to destroy his father.
His son was locked up for many years in a terrible prison. And it must have hurt Ben greatly.
In a life like that, a few pleasures eases the great pain.
Like beers 1 thru 4?
In a nutshell, I would say that means taking time to appreciate life in the moment for the gift is it. Good advice.
