Former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Dire Warning: Bernie Sanders’ Candidacy ‘Built On False Premise”
CHICAGO (CBS) – Former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel had a clear warning for Democrats: A primary victory for Bernie Sanders puts the whole future of the party at risk.
“His candidacy is built on a false premise, strategically and policy-wise,” Emanuel, who served in both Clinton and Obama administrations, said of the far left candidate on CBS This Morning.
Sanders, he said, is playing with political fire by dismissing moderate Democrats.
“Bernie Sanders view is, I don’t want these moderate and fickle voters. We just have to turn out our base,” Emanuel said. “His view is, forget the center, we just want to be left. And that’s never been tried.”
Emanuel pointed to six elections—the four presidential wins by Clinton and Obama and the two midterms in 2006 and 2018—in which a center left strategy and “big urban and suburban turnout” were the keys to victory.

Emanuel may be right, but wouldn’t it be scary if Bernie got the nomination and only lost my a modest amount. That would be scary to me. It would be a clear indicator that the country is littered with too many imbeciles.
I doubt the activist Left is sufficient to win the WH. I suspect moderate traditional Democrats will stay home, thus ensuring a GOP takeback of the house. Many centrist Dems will not vote for Trump OR a socialist.
I wonder how “Never waste a crisis” is going to use this huge Democrat crisis?

The moderate mask has been ripped off for good. Bernie is making these idiots face reality of who they all are!
But if you are wrong, it may be better to have CW2 now while enough of us old guys who appreciate the value of a free country are still young enough to fight and win.

False premise, like the Obama eligibility?
Democrats are Fabian Socialists. They want to move slowly and quietly toward a Worker’s Paradise. Obama made good progress. Hillary was a bridge too far and they lost some ground. They need to continue to lie and fool people and move toward “Progressivism” in a quiet way.
But Bernie is a full-blown Bolshevik. He ruins everything.
The DNC comes in two flavors.
Those who no longer feel the need to pretend they aren’t socialist, just as Bernie no longer feels the need to pretend he’s not a Democrat.
Those who still feel the need to pretend that they aren’t.
But in both instances there is nothing remaining of the old extreme Left that is extreme to the DNC anymore. That’s why everything looks like the extreme Right to them.
They probably consider McGovern to be right of center.
This internal DemoRat fight of slaughtering each other is a beauty to behold. They deserve every bit of it.

Bernie has allowed the democrat mask to slip a little. He is very much the heart and soul of the party.
