The last pandemic was the 2009 Novel H1N1 pandemic that infected a billion people. Fortunately, the mortality was very low. CORVID-19 is more contagious, and has far higher mortality.
Oops. Dont forget the Phillipines. What a coincidence. China surrounded by island nations where a killer engineered virus could be effective. And they have been illegally expanding into the region building islands. Funny that.
One thing stands out- nothing but a grave situation would cause China to take the measures they have. No country did this for SARS, Ebola MERS, or the worst flus.

Enzyme treatment might kill it in septic system. Over the course of several months, IF you contract it and shed, it would probably be broken down in the septic system.
Just don’t bleach your septic system :) One of my city cousins moved to the country and poured bleach (and drain cleaner!) down their pipes that ran into the septic system. surprise surprise, septic system’s don’t grok that stuff LOL. Very expensive learning experience for said city cousin. We even TOLD him it was a bad idea before he did it. He did it anyways because we’re just stupid country kin. LOL. No, we haven’t let him live it down yet. First question we have for him when we have family reunion is ‘how’s the septic system working out?’.

Pins, needles, sewing shears, etc. Also a new winter coat (the inexpensive ones in our price range are all made in china or likely in the far east with stuff imported from china).

I have wondered for a while if it were something that got away from them, not NECESSARILY from the biolab but not ruling that out, and just ‘found’ wuhan because it’s a transportation hub.
IIRC the train station isn’t far from the wet market either.

Nope....bleach is bad...for septic systems :)
We have two systems....one is the old fashioned kind, the other is the newer (anaerobic system)....we add yeast packets to the old system, every so often.
Both have had recent service, so that’s a good thing.

I’d get more yeast, just in case. It will keep indefinitely in a ziploc bag in the freezer. I buy the big packs of it at SAMS because I do a lot of home baking.
