ICE rejects California law, arrests people at courthouse

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - U.S. immigration agents arrested two people at a Northern California courthouse, including a man detained in a hallway on his way to a hearing, flouting a new state law requiring a judicial warrant to make immigration arrests inside such facilities.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents made the arrests Tuesday at Sonoma County Superior Court, prompting an outcry from criminal justice and court officials who said the action undermines local authority and deters immigrants who are in the country illegally from participating in the U.S. justice system.

ICE said California’s law doesn’t supersede federal law and “will not govern the conduct of federal officers acting pursuant to duly-enacted laws passed by Congress that provide the authority to make administrative arrests of removable aliens inside the United States.”

"Our officers will not have their hands tied by sanctuary rules when enforcing immigration laws to remove criminal aliens from our communities,” David Jennings, ICE’s field office director in San Francisco, said in the statement.

Arrest/deport ALL illegal alien invaders. Seize their ill-gotten assets to help defray the costs. If they return illegally, shoot them.

“Doesn’t California reject federal law? Even-steven.”

Bingo!

That, and no State law can override federal law. I support the notion that the federal government should have already declared these States to be outlaw States and should have dismissed their governors and legislatures, just like after the Civil War.

California has effectively seceded from the Union

The union can thus reject the whining of those former Americans who no longer have any voice regarding federal matters.

It’s normally the stricter that replies. Immigration matters are totally Federal.

California has a vibrant Hispanic subculture already. The gardeners, pool maintenance, painters, electricians, AC repairs, hair salons, all do work on a cash basis. It’s everywhere! They don’t get married and live with girl friends and 3-4 kids in subsidized housing with food stamp cards. They even share kids on tax returns to get 6,8,10K refunds.The Mexican guys who work as foremen for licensed pool companies, for example, can put a pool in for you for half the price, weekend work only.
No permits so you’re on your own there. If Hispanic families need prescription medicines, they know where to go and pay less money without prescriptions. Fraud is rampant in California. The subculture is becoming the norm. I admit there are many honest Mexican families in CA, but the younger ones have blatantly told me that they are winning the war.

Lest we forget ...

This should be part of a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1987 goes like this -

1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.

Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.

Off, begone with you, troll.

Then they can go back home.

As for the legal immigrants, they will be encouraged to know they can vote GOP which will do away with Stanktuary city BS.

“ If illegals become afraid to deal with law enforcement and the courts, then they become part of a subculture which is afraid to report crimes against them; or to be witnesses to crimes. ”

That’s the dem talking point. I’d argue theres a relatively small level of cooperation there anyway. After all they come from countries where law enforcement or government is not to be trusted so uncooperative attitudes are baked in. Add to which they are here illegally! Does anyone believe given these facts this demographic is lining up at the squad house to report anything?

And most importantly, I have yet to see the “victim” getting grabbed at the courthouse.

”The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said both men had been arrested by immigration officers numerous times from 2004 to 2010 and returned to Mexico in response several times.”

In the meantime, liberals want to make gun owners criminals.

Of course the idea that gun owners would start to avoid the police and not report crimes never comes up.

Or the fact that they might have to arrest millions of otherwise law abiding citizens is also never brought up.

Phonies.

“Prevents them from participating in legal process”

I think getting arrested and deported IS participating in our justice system, isn’t it?

“And that in turn makes for more crime (against illegal aliens), not less.” Parenthesis mine.

Which is negative reinforcement for their bad behavior.

If anyone, legal or illegal, is reluctant to report a crime, it is not because they are afraid of law enforcement. It is because they are afraid of the criminals.

CA officials who interfere with the arrests IN ANY WAY, should be arrested as well.

Yeah, that’s the standard excuse.

They’re ILLEGAL.
Remove them.
