The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

When they mention “Chinese Scientists” They might as well replace these words with “Anonymous Sources”.
We can’t interview them, we don’t know their names, we don’t know whether or not they are really scientist or conspiracy theorists.
How do we know that this story is even true? How different is this from the “anonymous sources” of CNN,WaPo and NY Times?

There’s going to be a lot of pressure on China to close their wildlife markets which they did after SARS, but then they let them reopen.
For a long time China has been the world leader in diseases transmitted from animals, many of which were major epidemics.
This is why I will never vote for any politician on any level who believes abortion is ever justified. If you think there is any problem that justifies the intentional killing of an innocent baby, then there is nothing you will not be able to justify, should you think it is in your personal best interest.

I agree with you. I think 50 years of Roe v Wade and 60 million innocents slaughtered has desensitized the nation to the value of human life. That led to “first person shooter” games, to school shootings (slaughter of little defenseless lambs) and other mass shootings.

It’s a good basic litmus test for the level of humanity or demon possession. You are both correct. Fleming discovered the effect of penicillin in a contaminated culture. But he didn’t follow up.
