George Washington was an 'illiterate LIAR who cheated his way to the top, wore dentures made from hippo ivory, and beat his slaves', new biography claims

George Washington was a 'liar' who the other Founding Fathers couldn't wait to see the back of, claims a new biography on The Father of his Country. Buying teeth from his slaves at a third of the market price, refusing to free them, and causing conflict that eventually led the the start of 'humanity's first world war' are among the many ethical and moral missteps the country's first president made, claims new book 'You Never Forget Your First: A Biography of George Washington' by historian Alexis Coe. The book was released this Presidents' Day weekend, coinciding with the broadcast of the History Channel's new three-part series 'Washington', on which Coe was also a consulting producer.

So wrong. It sounds like rumors the English were spreading about him, like today’s lying Deep State with the English-produced Steele Dossier.

‘Trump hired prostitutes to jump on a bed 0bama slept on, peeing while leaping, with Trump enjoying it under them.’

Jefferson did offer a toast at a dinner party saying “a speedy death to Gen. Washington” after the alien and sedition act.

Very much enjoyed it and it was a lovely day to take in the views of the Potomac which, as you say, are breathtaking. Also liked the gardens very much as well.

George Washington was such an illiterate, stupid man that he was able to defeat the greatest fighting force then on earth. He was such a dolt that he had a novel, eight year strategy that didn’t defend fixed points but knew that the goal was to keep his army intact, and it worked. Such an idiot that he devised a policy of keeping out of crazed, needless foreign wars that the Bush family would have been wise to emulate. Such a boob that he set the standard for stepping away from the most powerful office in the country by insisting on serving only two terms in office - an act that his arch rival King George III would say was the marvel of the world. None of her criticism are novel - GW’s acts did start the French & Indian War but he was the only officer who didn’t panic on the field. He wasn’t overly educated but most people of that day weren’t and he made a far better president than John Adams, who was brilliant but despised. Yes, he had slaves, but that was the standard of the day in the western hemisphere. I am getting damned tired of the Howard Zinn “historians’ of the world getting prime play when they hate this country and its history. Why the Daily Mail touts this mediocre writer is beyond me, unless these royal lovers are trying to downplay another story on the front page, that there are direct witnesses of their beloved Prince Andrew groping underage girls who spoke no English and may not have known who he was at Sir Jeffrey Epstein’s villa in the Virgin Islands.

Yes. Washington himself came up with the term “Mr.President.”

“Jefferson to a slave child.”

That story has been going around for a number of years. Sally Hemings grew up in the Jefferson house and did, 6 years after Jefferson’s wife died, have an affair with Jefferson in France and did bore him children in time according to the different studies.

People wonder why he didn’t free her but according to the laws at that time in Virginia, a freed slave had to leave the state and she would have been homeless and living in very unsafe conditions. And mixed marriages were unlawful in Virginia at that time.

Hemings was of mix race and was Jefferson’s passed wife half sister. So the only way he could have taken care of her was for her to remain a slave. She was freed by Jefferson’s daughter along with her family after his death. But that was in later years and the laws were being stretched a lot.

As for the DNA, the design and methodology of the DNA analysis reported by Dr. Eugene Foster et al. in the journal Nature is sound and straightforward and meets the current standards of the scientific community. But this study was done not with Thomas Jefferson DNA, but with in line descendants and a matching of the chromosomes. The only thing they did come up with was some chromosomes that matched the Jefferson line. Blurred.

You see this quite often. They tear down the founders to prove America is a racist exploitative country. In the case of Washington, he was an accomplished surveyor. How many illiterate surveyors are there? He was human and has been somewhat mythologized, but he spent 8.5 years at war during the Revolution. He fought against insurmountable odds, facing off against the world’s super power, with inferior trained troops and abysmal supplies. He helped develop the concept of guerrilla warfare. He united the country as its first president. He died with a massive estate, built with both inheritance and shrewd business acumen.

I think he’s the kind of illiterate racist we can all aspire to be and encourage our children and grandchildren as well. To this day, he’s still an inspiration to people the world over and is an example of what one man can accomplish with unyielding perseverance and a refusal to give up.

This guy is a lefty POS who is wrong on a number of accounts in his book, and seems to spend an inordinate amount of time in interviews trashing Trump and the Republicans.

And Washington didn’t use slave’s teeth in his dentures. He didn’t like the idea of having teeth from blacks in his mouth, so he sought out other resources. He came from a different time and culture as we know.

Pass up this idiot’s book and go for the definitive biography by Ron Chernow. Don’t even waste your time on Coe.

I’m glad it was George Washington instead of some other ‘illiterate liar who cheated his way to the top, wore dentures made from hippo ivory, and beat his slaves’.
