Singapore worries me - a lot.
I’m not an investor, and worldwide spread of this virus is my greatest worry. But I believe the China thing is OVER, and over for a very long time, and I’m surprised that people don’t understand.
If companies like Apple and Samsung (and a thousand others) dont realize the need to bring production back to America now...well, theyll just have to join the ash heap of history.
Turns out the tariffs were just a prescient warning...
“But I believe the China thing is OVER, and over for a very long time, and Im surprised that people dont understand.”
It’s a capability that some have better than others - the ability to visualize the future, given a set of inputs. Maybe think of it like chess - the grandmasters can think 10 moves ahead (or maybe 5, or whatever), but I’m lucky to think more than one move ahead.
But that’s chess - this one is real easy for me to see. To put it simply, China has a piece of virtually EVERYTHING used by the West now, and about the only people that I don’t blame are the Chinese...it’s not their fault that we elected idiots who sold out them. For the Republicans, it was a great way to deal with unions (simply off-shore the work), for the Democrats it was a great way to clean up the air and water (send all the pollution to China). But the problem, of course, is the sheer size of China, they could literally get their tentacles in EVERYTHING in the West, and not miss a beat - which they did. And so now we pay.
