Todays CG from The Arkansas Gazette should be easy. So, for a little extra challenge try solving the quote word for word or sentence by sentence.
JM, ZML KHON NM PAAN NCA
VMFA MQ ZMLB VXQA?
VMMW XO NCA PXBBMB.---UZBMO WHNXA
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
WHAT THE CATERPILLAR CALLS THE END OF THE WORLD, THE MASTER CALLS A BUTTERFLY. ---RICHARD BACH
I love doing these. It took about a minute. This is now my signal that it is time to step away from the internet and get on with my to do list (thanks a lot, LOL).
Wow, same thought :-)
Amazing how frail this guy looks right now compared to Trump....and the whole world knew it...Nobel Prize my ass!
Beat me to it.
Oh, thats good. Very good.
Thats post of the day good.
...you can fill in the rest, I'm sure.
Words 2 and 9.
Lucky guess on the first word, and it filled right in. Had to google the author, though.
Strange quote.
You Echoed the clue....
Remember when BO was running against McCain, every little lisp or mispronounce etc was duly recorded and blamed on JMs senility or his age just wouldn’t and couldn’t take the strain.
MEANWHILE, whenever BO made a (rare) slip it was duly noted that he was young and ambitious and he was so smart his mind was far ahead of his mouth when speaking etc etc etc.
Of course it was later found that he basically ‘slept till noon’ etc etc....
OTOH, PDJT gets by on 3 or 4 hours sleep, always on the go.
I have a couple of years on PT but also get by on 3 or 4 with maybe a ‘cat nap’ but can definitely see how PDJT operates (His ‘schedule is probably a little more hectic than mine -BUT he has people keeping track of his schedule)..HA HA <: <:
WOW...
Had a little ‘problem’ getting started but once the last word filled in it was off to the looking glass.
Usually I don’t look at the ‘clues/comments’ first (tends to somewhat get me pointed in the wrong direction) but today it ‘solved’ it for me...
I like using the comment.....
That person YOU have been eyeballing for the last xxxx years is NOT the person the generally public is seeing.
Whenever I see a new ‘family’ pic, and don’t always recognize all, especially that ‘dude in the hat’ (just like mine) it is a ‘rude’ awakening.
I used to tell my gkids that they were ‘lucky’, MY grandfather looked old to me but they were lucky I looked so young. (Dream on!!!)
