Teacher has absolutely no right to post it. There are privacy laws afforded students...and likely in every state.

The “D” was a gift
The Great Gatsby in college?
I remember reading that in Middle School
What are they reading in Middle Schol? Those 1st grade Golden books?

A *D* is generous.
It should have been an *F*.

In more than one cartoon Tom has made a sandwich with Jerry Mouse in between the bread slices.

“Pepe Le Pue wants to impregnate Penelope.”
And the prof had to put a question mark next to “impregnate”? Is there something unclear about the polite “impregnate”? The vernacular term would not have gone over well.
How did this kid get a “D”? It should have been an “F.”

Very creative writing, but way off topic. His paper did not answer the requirements of that assignment.
The teacher was sort of foolish, to post this for public viewing and debate. That teacher has ceded much of his authority to popular opinion and the number of ‘likes’.

I did not know that the hapless cat in the Pepe LePew cartoons is named Penelope. I learned something today.

This was supposed to be about Tom from The Great Gatsby! The book we are reading! Diane : How would you characterize "The Great Gatsby"?
Thornton Melon : He was... uh... great!

Definitely an F grade. A grade of D is usually reserved for students copying an essay directly from Cliff’s notes.

English teacher?
Is not “The book we are reading.” A dependent phrase, separated by a comma from previous sentence?

She was definitely too generous with the grade.
This reminds me of the time I was correcting a biochemistry exam and the answer one student gave had nothing go do with the question. The question required students to describe a mechanism of virus replication. One student wrote something about the importance of treating pregnant HIV positive women so their babies don’t get AIDS.

This reads almost like the student paid somebody to write the paper for them, got the wrong one back, and submitted it sight unseen.

I would have given it a NG - no grade - and told the student to rewrite and understand that the new essay would be penalized by at least 1 letter grade.
Ridiculous!

Obviously Tom is looking for a duo in order to perform classical piano pieces that are too difficult for just two hands (and with only three fingers on each).

The dip shit deserved two F’s. One for turning in an essay that had nothing to do with subject. And another for crappy writing.
Perhaps a third F because it wasn’t funny.
Is there any level of public education that is not simply daycare for emotionally stunted children?
