CHICAGO - A Chicago husband and wife who late last month became the first person-to-person coronavirus patients in the United States have been released from a suburban hospital, health officials said Friday.
In a statement, Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates said that they were “discharged to their home under the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Illinois Department of Public Health.” The hospital said the two, both in their 60s, are now in “home isolation.” The hospital did not say when the two were discharged from the hospital.
The couple, who have not been identified, said in a statement released by the hospital that they are pleased with the care they have received.
“This has been the best healthcare experience we’ve ever had, but we’re definitely looking forward to getting home and getting life back to normal.”

I would assume so...BUT ..looking for concrete info. His coworker was Asian..so could he be as well..or some other ethnic genetic similarity...like Indian
It’s hard to get verifiable ethnicity information.
There has been very little information released on the medical care this couple received. It is not clear that they ever had serious symptoms, like the pneumonia that seems to be ravaging victims in Wuhan. There have been a few stories involving mild cases with quick recovery after flu like symptoms. It sounds like these folks might be in that group.

It does seem odd that there is little talk of recoveries, but patients are recovering. 1,764 have recovered according to Johns Hopkins tracker.
Heard the other day all that can be done is to support the organs but the patient must recover on their own.
Many of the surviving coronavirus patients sustain permanent organ damage.

Ya, I look at that site daily. There is not a single mention of anyone in the US who has recovered. No any other western society, except for the crazy whiskey man and I don’t believe that one bit.
Now, with China setting up these “death camps” I think Wuhan is a total loss. I’m very surprised there are no serious credible leaks about what is going on there, none !!
I bet they will have a problem getting any takers for a cocktail party anytime soon.
