After consultation with medical experts and public health authorities, regardless of nationality, any guest or crewmember traveling from, to, or through mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau less than 15 days prior to their sailing will be unable to board any of our ships.
Additionally, weve tightened our health screening requirements and the following guests will need to undergo extra screenings to ensure safety at the cruise terminal:
∙ Anyone that has been in contact with individuals that have traveled from, to, or through mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau in the last 15 days. ∙ Anyone that holds a Chinese, Hong Kong, or Macau passport regardless of when they were there last. ∙ Anyone that feels unwell or demonstrates flu-like symptoms.
These measures will help reduce the potential for the virus to further spread, and will ensure the health of our guests and crew. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding.
Have the general populace called them racist, yet?
Ping.
Too late.
Why would anyone go on a cruise at this time?
Your headline is a lie. Moderator please remove this post.
“Additionally, weve tightened our health screening requirements and the following guests will need to undergo extra screenings to ensure safety at the cruise terminal:

Racist!
Oh yeah racist as hell...a lawsuit and bammy boy judge will be along soon...
100+ years ago in Hong Kong, the British/foreign expat residential areas (particularly on the Peak of Hong Kong Island) had now infamous signs that said No Chinese Allowed. This is was due to the regular cholera and typhus epidemics that the constant flow of poor immigrants and refugees brought from China. Naturally, and especially in the interpretation of Marxists, this took on a racist tinge.
Its interesting how we are facing a similar situation.
Well I was thinking at one point that a 3 month cruise would be the perfect way to isolate and avoid the virus. If only I didn't have to work.
But because cruise ships make port everywhere, it now seems to be a really really really bad idea.
A tropical island with no tourist traffic would be great. Only nobody knows of any and if they did, then it probably has tourist traffic.
So I'm down to visiting Greenland, but they have Chinese workers there.
Or just hole up in my house with a 3 month food supply.
It would be interesting if we were.
But we're not.
The headline of this post is a fake-news clickbait lie.
Chinese passport holders "will need to undergo extra screenings to ensure safety at the cruise terminal".
Why would anyone go on a cruise at this time?

I would say “anytime”... but certainly “at this time”.
No good reason. (I would say “ever”.)
How many days in between boarding?
This virus can last on surfaces for a while.
Because they will lose a lot of money if they cancel their cruise. Payment is required months before cruise.
Its indeed a variant of it. Chinese Passport holders (and those who have been in China) are being given extra scrutiny.
Im not claiming its racist. Its practical, and its what China itself is doing to its own citizens.
why not wait until the results of the test before releasing?

Royal Caribbean says the CDC will test 4 passengers on a cruise liner docked in New Jersey for #coronavirus.
All other guests on the ship were allowed to disembark
closing . closing the door after the bug is out. Did not realize Chinese traveled the world so much...
Have you bothered to go to his link? It looks pretty clear to me:
“Through the month of February 2020, any guest that holds a Chinese, Hong Kong, or Macau passport, will be unable to board any of our ships, regardless of residency.”
