The only movie with a handcar I remember is “Blazing Saddles”. A four-hunnert dollar handcart too!
when i watched vera cruz i was very impressed by the cinematography and location filming.
an interesting coincidence is that i happened to drive through one of the filming locations (indio, california) a few days ago.
“Vera Cruz’’. “True Cross’’ in Spanish. Jus’ sayin’...
Yep I think youre right. Forgot that one. Shoot if I didnt watch it yesterday I wont remember it. Half the time I cant remember Kirk Douglas and Walter Brennan were in Along The Great Divide. I remember bits of thing in movies. Like McQueen asking Brenner You elected? And him answer no just nominated.
I’ve been looking for a movie too, from the 50’s in color.
It had “the Green Pirate” and I think something about the Barbary Coast.
The Green Pirate had a very fast xebec-style ship with green sails.
I remember the cinematography was spectacular.
Magnificent Seven! We watch that all the time. GREAT movie.
My favorite exchange of all time is from Big Jake:
John Wayne essentially repeats a threat given to him by Richard Boone, “Anything goes wrong, your fault, my fault, nobody’s fault - it don’t matter - I’m gonna blow your head off.”
..how about Garden of Evil...
Maybe on your TV it was B/W? It is definitely in color. I have the Blu-ray.
My wife is always saying "I thought that movie was in black and white" because she originally saw so many on TV that way.
100 Rifles with Burt Reynolds, Jim Brown and Raquel Welch fits the synopsis described butvwas released in 1969.
