NBC’s Savannah Guthrie pressed former Vice President Joe Biden during an interview that aired Monday morning on the subject of his son Hunter’s work in Ukraine for Burisma Holdings.
When first asked about Hunter’s work in Ukraine, Biden responded that “no one found anything wrong with his dealings with Ukraine, except they say it sets a bad image.”
He additionally agreed that it “sets a bad image” when asked about it by Guthrie a second time, noting that even Hunter himself “said that.”
However, the former vice president bristled when Guthrie suggested that Hunter was given the position in exchange for “access” to Biden and the Obama White House.
“That’s not true. You’re saying things that you don’t know what you’re talking about,” Biden snapped. “No one said that. Who said that?”
“He’s a very bright guy,” he continued, talking over Guthrie’s questions about how it could appear “sleazy.” “He said he regretted having done it. Speaks for himself. He’s a grown man.”
The segment concluded with Guthrie asking Biden if he was predicting a “win” in Monday’s Iowa caucuses, to which he responded “I predict we will do very well.”

I’ve seen people with 0.1% in the polls claiming they were going to win.
He’s setting the bar so low that even if he doesn’t make it out of the first round, he’ll claim it as a victory.

They want both old grumps out. Poker Biden and Ticker Sanders. They can’t sell a candidate with scrambled brains, or one who just had a heart attack.
Unless the campaign slogan is “I’m with Her.”

It always bugs me that the presumption is that Hunter did something wrong and that this somehow reflects on poor, innocent Joe. The reality is that Joe did something wrong in enabling this deal by taking Hunter there on Air Force 2 (at our expense) and then in failing to stop Hunter from taking the no-skill no-experience no-attendance no-work gig at $1M/yr which is more than any corporate board member makes anywhere. Same with the China $1-1.6B investment scheme. It's about Joe's bad judgment and greed, not about that drug-addled doofus Hunter.
Any company perpetrating that kind of obvious conflict of interest would be barred from getting government contracts, but somebody at the near top of government can get away with that?

I really think Biden was told to run to set the stage for impeachment. Dems know he stands no chance and he hasn’t raised lot of money for his campaign either.
It explains why Obama won’t endorse his former VP. He was to be sacrificed to give the take out Trump at any cost. If he didn’t run and do this- they would let loose the deep state on he and his son.
Isn’t that (asking potentially embarrassing questions of a lib candidate) a firing offense at NBC?
