Just give him a Gold Jacket already....You have to admire the mental toughness and maturity of this young man.

Just a reminder to Da Bears fans. You could have had this guy instead you traded picks to move up and draft....Mitch Trubisky.

I’ve been a Chiefs fan since 1970, when I was 10.

It’s been a long, long weird ride.

And, yes, when the Chiefs were down 10 with 9 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, I gave up and resigned myself to a loss.

But, there’s no quit in this kid.

I don’t care for him personally, but I think Brady could have done the same.

"Patrick Mahomes, in Super Bowl comeback, showed why he is the best quarterback in the NFL"

Pretty damned good yesterday. Let me know when he wins five more....

49er fan here and I definitely wanted them to win last night, but Mahomes was the shining star. That young man is unflappable.

In the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LIV

Isn’t this amazing how this lines up with Low Information Voters?

Is this a coincidence? I do not believe in coincidences..

They are talking a 40 million a year long term contract for 10 years next year...and he is worth every penny of it to the NFL. Best shortstop in the NFL when he is in a jam. He throws cross body like the back end of a double play when he is scrambling in trouble. Great to watch.

Yep - he seems to be down to earth and a decent young man who managed to keep his cool and git ‘er dun when many would have been slipping into dejection...coach Reed is a class act too.

Interesting thing to me is Mahomes is so unconventional. Belichick would have probably benched a young Tom Brady for some of the throws Mahomes makes.

Yep. If you've followed the Chief's all year long it's almost as if they're not comfortable winning unless they're behind.

Watched the whole game and glad I did. To think the Chicago Bears passed on Mahomes to pick Mitch Trubitchsky. LOL!!!

He’s good but did not a great game. He had some floaters that no one defender was even near. 49ers choked and Kittle was robbed.

And class. There was an article on Facebook yesterday, posted by some of my friends who are from KC. Apparently Mahomes and his wife were at dinner at a pizza place in KC and the other diners LEFT THEM ALONE. Mahomes was so pleased that when he left, he announced to the other diners ‘thank you for leaving us alone to enjoy our dinner’. After he left, the management informed the other diners that the Mahomes had picked up the tab for all those dining. Class act. GO, MAHOMES!

While Brady is still playing giving that title to anyone else is premature at best. It was an impressive comeback, he didn’t let the moment overwhelm him. He has a very bright future. A long career and a few more rings will give him the right to be called “the best QB in the NFL”.

It was Mahomes worst game as a Chief. But. The Niners got cocky, their coach made some bad decisions, and the Chiefs got an ugly TEAM victory.

As a Royals and Chiefs fan we savor our Championships whenever can get them. I give Reid as much credit as Mahomes. If Reid can keep key personnel together for next season we might be back.

I first saw Mahomes late 2014 filling in at Texas Tech and knew within those 2-3 games he was special

I told family members who follow football but they were skeptical

You could tell right away

He can command a team...the Brady quotient....rare with today’s running quarterbacks

He can throw in the pocket....like a seasoned pro

And did I mention...yes he can run when he sees the opportunity but he is no run hog like some do today

Baring anything tragic he’s in his way to a lofty rememberance in this sport

And he’s raised right....Texas with a devoted mom and dad

I’m a Texas Tech guys, so I am a fan.

He didn’t deserve the MVP.

He had some good plays, but there were others I thought, what the hell is he doing??

Still doesn’t beat Joe Montana asking the guys in the offensive huddle, “Hey, Is that John Candy up there?” Cracked them up, got them loose, the 49ers drove 90+ yards to win the game. Joe Cool.

I like Mahomes. He’s pretty cool, too!
